It's been 12 (very) long years since 3G Capital (A Brazilian investment firm)... ...acquired @TimHortons and immediately took to betraying the communities they serve. For those of you not in the know, 3G is a private equity firm and PE absolutely LOVES cheap labour. The cheaper the better. So they petitioned the government to import as many temporary foreign workers so they could get a hefty discount on labour. Guess who pays the difference? You do. Quality has vanished from Tim Hortons... ...just as quality is vanishing from our communities nwo that they've swamped us with people from an incompatible culture. So was it worth it, 3G Capital? Once @dunkindonuts gets back to Canada, you know what's going to happen next.

Thank you for the opportunity to yet again educate… The Liberals did NOT build the pipeline “for Albertans”. CANADIANS PAID FOR IT. Liberals used our hard earned tax dollars. Kinder Morgan applied for TMX in 2013. This project was to be a privately funded venture with the support of no less than 12 energy companies (I worked for one of them for 24 years).  By 2018, after Liberals changed the approval rules for this project almost daily, KM was forced to walk away from not only the TMX expansion project but also the legacy TMPL, citing a need to protect shareholders from the uncertainty caused by ever changing regulatory goal posts. The Liberals were forced to purchase the legacy line from KM for $4.5B (Canadians' tax dollars), & we all are now on the hook for the TMX expansion project with an astonishing cost of $34B+. Trudeau's inflation policies & regulatory delays directly contributed to the ballooning costs. The Project finally completed in Q2-2024. Had Liberals not forced KM to abandon the project, TMX would have been 100% privately funded & shipping oil to BC & Washington refineries & Westridge Dock marine vessels long before Q2-2024. Canadian Taxpayers shouldn't have had to pay for one single penny of it !
