I'm sorry but the new love for @mtgreenee from some pro-Palestine folks, combined with hate for @AOC, is insane. Abunimah has spent the past 22 months attacking AOC, calling her a fraud, but now says "thank you" to MTG. Let's just compare their Israel/Gaza records, shall we? AOC called for a ceasefire shortly after Oct 7th. MTG didn't and said "anyone that is pro-Palestinian is pro-Hamas" and filed a censure resolution against Rashida Tlaib calling her antisemitic and pro-terrorist. AOC was one of *only 9 House members* to vote against a blindly pro-Israel resolution in the wake of October 7th. MTG was one of the co-sponsors of that pro-Israel resolution. AOC voted again and again to restrict arms to Israel in 2024. MTG didn't. AOC boycotted Netanyahu's speech to Congress in 2024. MTG didn't. AOC first called out the "genocide" in Gaza on the House floor in March of 2024. MTG said the G-word for the first time only a few weeks ago. AOC defended pro-Palestine students on campus. MTG called for their deportation. Most recently, MTG put out a doctored image of a niqab on the Statue of Liberty after Zohran Mamdani won the NYC primary. That Islamophobic tweet is still up. But Abunimah says "thank you" to her and compares her record (!) on Gaza favorably to AOC's, because MTG said a few anti-Israeli things in recent weeks and did one good vote - after nearly 2 years of backing Israel and voting to arm and fund the genocide. We're now expected to believe that MTG is a hero and AOC is a villain. On Gaza! Like I said, insane.
