I’ll admit to being mildly perturbed that Jen is essentially in aerobics gear, c’mon, she deserves to be in costume too.

Can’t sleep so I read a comic. Byrne’s West Coast Avengers run was gorgeous, Machlan reminds me of Kesel as a Byrne inker, clean, solid linework. And Sharen is a legend

@IngasGold Dave's star ratings aren't describing how good the match is or how much he liked it, but how much 'stuff' the wrestlers did. It's why he sometimes gives high ratings to matches he said he hated

@emeriticus The funny thing is, that the Boys are the Heroes. It's in the Title. How are the confused that Homelander is the Villain? Also: Ennis hates Superheroes. What were they expecting?

@OliverL4 @DKnight9630 Those 13th issues are decent, and enjoyable. Shows the Wildstorm characters fit in better with the Marvel universe than DC. If I remember correctly, 13th issues was advertised as part of Marvel versus Wildstorm, and was done to fulfil/complete various contract obligations.

All Things X-Men & Avengers
Making the Grade: Avengers 1990s 1997 Heroes Reborn continues with 3 separate crossovers but unfortunately it's all forgettable. There's light at the end of the tunnel thanks to Kurt Busiek & George Perez as they relaunch the Avengers for Heroes Return. Grade: C+

@elliottswrstlin Might be thing exclusive to the German Boards, but starting with the early 2000s there were also People saying that Kaz Hayashi is more Benoit than Benoit will ever be. From that POV 3 seems very high.

This poll happened right after Benoit had been your average tape traders favorite wrestler or at least in their top 10 for like 15 straight years. 3 in 2006 makes sense. 34 in 2016 is insane

@DKnight9630 I know the "Onslaught"-Stuff and "Heroes Reborn". Always thought the first was kinda overrated, to be honest. Also, I've never been a big Fan of Deodato.

All Things X-Men & Avengers
Making the Grade: Avengers 1990s 1996 The year starts with another forgettable crossover in the First Sign. We get a very fun anniversary issue but then it's right into Onslaught. The Avengers then get relaunched as part of the Heroes Reborn initiative. Grade: D+

@DKnight9630 I did read "The Crossing" ... So there's that, I guess. "Taking AIM" is still part of that hole I've mentioned earlier.

All Things X-Men & Avengers
Making the Grade: Avengers 1990s 1995 This year starts with the forgettable Taking A.I.M crossover and then goes right into the worst Avengers story of all time in the Crossing. Tony Stark betrays the Avengers and only his teenage self from the past can stop him. Grade: F

@DKnight9630 Well, following the "Gatherers Saga" I don't know the Books all too well, to be honest. I wanna change that, because "Avengers" and it's my last big hole from the Classic Era. Wether it's good or not.

All Things X-Men & Avengers
Making the Grade: Avengers 1990s 1994 This year is completely carried by the ending of both the Gathers Saga and the ending of the Harris & Epting run. For the rest of year, its a roundtable of writers & artists as book feels like it's spinning its wheels again. Grade: C+

@DKnight9630 "Blood Ties" suffers from having to directly follow "Fatal Attractions", I think. It could only go downhill. It also leads to the end of AWC. I did like "Force Works", though. "Gatherers Saga" is great, I've said it before.

All Things X-Men & Avengers
Making the Grade: Avengers 1990s 1993 It's the Avengers 30th Anniversary as Harris & Epting continue their Gatherers Saga. We also get a somewhat mediocre Avengers/X-Men crossover in Bloodties. Epting & Palmer's art work continues to be a major highlight. Grade: B+

Peter Jackson laments the death of physical media: “You can get Blu-rays and DVDs, but they’re almost a niche product for aficionados now,” Jackson said. “Since they only sell small numbers, no studio wants to put extended features on them or to extend the cuts. We did hours and hours of behind-the-scenes material for The Lord of the Rings DVDs, and so many people have thanked me for doing them. People would watch that stuff over and over again because it inspired them to make films. That’s all gone now, and I think it’s a real shame.” Do you still get real books and DVDs?
