Tabii ki herkes yaşamını kendi istediği gibi tasarlamakta ve yaşamakta özgür ama sırf yemek ya da ütü için evlenen bir kişinin yaptığı, yeni bir anne ve belki bir çeşit bakım kölesi yaratmaktan başka bir şey değil.

Pewnie do 26 roku życia myślałem podobnie. Później zauważyłem: 1. jak wielki jest, nieraz głęboko ukryty, koszt życia w rodzinie wypełnionej wysokofunkcjonującymi alkoholikami, którzy "społecznie" wydają się być ok. 2. priorytety Niemców, którzy w trakcie okupacji zadbali, aby zakazać Polakom uprawiania sportu, zapewnić głodowe przydziały żywności, karać za handel żywnością i jednocześnie za wiele świadczeń płacić alkoholem. Niedługo przed wybuchem powstania warszawskiego Polskie Państwo Podziemne podsumowało: "wódka jest niemieckim sprzymierzeńcem". Gdy widzę jak tani jest dzisiaj alkohol względem jedzenia tak nie mogę otrząsnąć się z wrażenia, że gdzieś to już widziałem

Mentzen ma rację. Jeden z moich najgorętszych hot tejków jest taki, że alkohol ma, w ostatecznym bilansie, więcej pozytywnych niż negatywnych skutków społecznych. I nie można oceniać zdrowotnych kosztów dostępności alkoholu w oderwaniu od prosocjalizacyjnej roli, którą pełni.
