@mariotomich a) without carbs intake, and the peak is at a out 1g/1lbBW, your recovery isn't going to ramp up 100% ... and that includes MPS b) even if you did intra wo carbs intake, immediate post wo more carbs .. you can restore only 60-70% of muscle glycogen in 12 hours

@SarahTheHaider You need to anticipate this dynamic (because it's nothing new) and communicate more carefully. Yes, many people are blind to any nuances but those can just be ignored (even when they are a vocal majority...).

@jahanzibwesa You know what is tragic? Existence of culture where selling your daughter is even an option The fact, that his cousin is buying her as child bride, makes it even more atrocitious Society/culture like this does not deserve to exist

BBC report and documentary, on the plight of poor Afghan fathers forced to sell their children to survive. Except you have to read some way into the article - which is around 2,500 words long - before it becomes clear they are specifically selling their daughters into child marriage and domestic slavery. “If I sell one daughter, I could feed the rest of my children for at least four years,” says one father. Another father, pictured in the article, sold his five-year-old little girl. The framing is extraordinary. Not only because the fact only female children are being sold is presented as unremarkable. But also because the fathers making the decision are presented as the victims - rather than the girls who will actually live with the consequences of it. The fathers’ desperation is real and tragic. But so is the reality that these girls are being treated as commodities.

1. The father should sell his own ass before prostituting a child. 2. The family member buying her could have helped financially without taking their child. 3. Why isn't the "labor" for hire? Why is the least skilled family member being SOLD? 4. No one appears to be starving.
Sara Ghorbani@d_white_rabbit

So we are now supposed to feel bad for men who sell little girls to other men because they’re hungry? I don’t care how hungry you are! Nothing justifies this. Nothing.

An 18-year-old kid gets stabbed in the street. He’s running for his life, begging for help, and instead of saving him, the police handcuff him while he bleeds out because the attacker claimed “racism.” They let him choke on his own blood. No urgency. No humanity. Just cold, ideological policing. Months later? Still no names. Still no suspensions. Still no accountability. Meanwhile, the same UK police have arrested over 12,000 people for social media posts. They move at lightning speed to jail citizens for tweets and online comments, yet they can’t even name or discipline the officers who allegedly let a stabbing victim die in handcuffs on the street. This is the definition of two-tier policing: aggressive against ordinary people speaking online, but protective when it comes to their own failures and protecting the narrative. The British people deserve real justice, not another cover-up. Justice for Henry Nowak.

As a man living in a non Islamic nation. I feel i simply must ask.... Who!? Is buying children? And why Is this common enough to be a known debt cancelation strategy!? And finally. Are we still sure about that entire "All cultures are beautiful" thing?

Don’t be so sick, dumb & blinded by hate that u use the pain and poverty of a struggling family just for ur own agenda. Poverty & hardship is the reality for most Afghan families. Even the UN recently said nearly 80% of Afghans r living under the threat of poverty. Shame on ppl who talk abt human rights & humanity while acting like this online.

@visegrad24 BBC Editorial Guidelines mandate 'due impartiality' on social issues, even those with no legitimate second perspective. Child rape is one. Applying political neutrality to it isn't bias - it's structural. The guidelines are the mechanism, not conscious editorial motive.

I do this too. Monday through Friday I eat breakfast because I train in the morning. Weekends I don’t train and I’ll fast in the morning and push lunch into the afternoon. Avoid not eating before training if you’re serious about gains though.
Zack Strength@ZackStrength

i am coining the term of a practice i engage in: intermittent intermittent fasting (iif) on lift days, i lift early in the morning, followed by breakfast, lunch, and dinner. on non lift days, i intermittent fast, skipping breakfast and eating lunch and dinner. i intermittently intermittent fast.

@SarahTheHaider @TarakNL You are missing the point We are not interested in understanding culture in which selling your children as sex slaves in an option. Why should we care? Only thing to figure out is: How to find which of them aren't subhuman savage, so we can give them options to get away

I remember my dad telling me about how in his family they would go out to eat four times/year (once on each kid’s birthday) and he felt so proud we could go out to eat a few times a month

They also like to ask why Gen Z isn’t going out drinking. Good luck having a fun night at the bar for $28. The problem with all this rhetoric is that it blames young people for doing basic things humans have always done (like grab lunch) rather than live like monks/penny-pinchers
