@BitcoinPierre @SteveSimple That's not the issue, but it shows MSTR's lack of recognizing the counterparty risk. This centralization around big custodians from MSTR, ETFs & institutionals can easily lead to too-big-to-fail scenarios where a big hack will have them ask for rollbacks.

Hilarious how Strategy’s business model is 100% based on the greatness of the bitcoin global settlement system and Strategy hasn’t made a single settlement on the system

@BitcoinPierre @SteveSimple In terms of MSTR's ownership of the 58,390 coins and network participation they are indeed IOUs... since MSTR most probably wasn't involved cryptographically in the transaction. It's pretty much the same thing as me withdrawing from Binance and depositing directly to Kraken.

@joe_shipman A crucial factor was that everyone around him was ready this time to abuse the system to the max, a true kleptocracy full of corruption, insider trading and abuse of power to their and their friends' advantage.

Don’t call it age verification. Call it centralised personal data collection. And understand that it serves surveillance, not safety for children.

Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene🇺🇸
There were only 4 of us, Republicans, that signed the discharge petition to force the vote to release the Epstein files. Thomas Massie, Nancy Mace, Lauren Boebert, and myself. Trump has come after us one by one ever since then. The President told Speaker Johnson not to allow the vote to happen, but we courageously went against the President and refused to budge and overrode the Speaker to force the vote on record. It was only when all Members of Congress had to vote on record did Republicans finally find their intestinal fortitude to do the right thing and vote YES to release the files. Until then, they were absurdly obedient to the President who was doing everything in his reign of terror to hold them back. Even now, all the files are still not released, and the Epstein class remains protected. Wars are being waged, the markets are being manipulated, and the average American is being driven further into ruin while the Epstein class reigns and has yet to face any accountability. I will never regret signing that discharge petition, refusing to back down, and resigning as I want nothing to do with a President and a Party that bows to the Epstein class.

If past expert announcements that "Bitcoin is dead" provides an insight, then "AI will obsolete all white collar jobs" probably will take a while more.

amazing post and great timing w.r.t. ant's post yesterday we must build open ai to not get locked in by the vendors who will decide who gets which capabilities and the west has to realize that open models are important and support open model efforts (like @arcee_ai, @NVIDIAAI)

A new @bgurley blog post! I have been thinking about how sophisticated executives are using open source in super creative ways. Started writing this three years ago. Excited to finish it up and publish it! And with the new @p3institute brand. substack.com/home/post/p-19…

I really dislike the apples vs oranges comparisons that new off chain protocol proponents such as Ark and Spark perpetuate: liquidity is only a problem when crossing the boundary of a LN channel. Ark and Spark compare that with intra-instance payments.

Meta AI glasses are face-worn cameras, microphones, speakers, sensors, and cloud AI tied to a Meta account. [wrapped in something that looks like normal eyewear] That is the threat model. When someone records with a phone, there is a visible gesture. People notice the rectangle. With AI glasses, the camera sits at eye level. The social signal is gone. Bystanders may not know they are being filmed, recorded, transcribed, translated, or fed as visual context into a Meta AI query. The capture LED is NOT consent. It is not visible in every environment. It does not solve audio. It does not solve bystander privacy. It does not solve the fact that most people will not understand what the device is doing. Meta tells users to power the glasses off in doctor’s offices, bathrooms, locker rooms, schools, and places of worship. That advice is the tell. If a product needs users to remember to disable it in sensitive environments, the default posture is already broken. The data flow: Calendar, Outlook, Garmin, Strava, Apple Health, Health Connect, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, voice commands, cloud inference, all routed through Meta. Your calendar alone is a social graph, location history, medical appointment log, work map, and routine fingerprint. Now strap that context to a sensing platform on your face. The Ray-Ban Display model adds in-lens notifications, live captions, navigation, AI answers, and wrist neural input. The attack surface expands. Shoulder surfing the lens. Visual prompt injection from the environment. Malicious app connections. Account compromise exposing message and device controls.

GL having a secure javascript app when transpiling is involved. Not just internally but, I see hugely popular projects that don't have reproducibility checks and setups, and just randomly commit transpiled js builds. We were already doomed, now it's just easy to be obvious.

🚨🇪🇺BREAKING: EU to Spend 8,5 Billion Euros on Mass Censorship and Repression! The European Union has adopted a new censorship program called Agora EU, financed with 8.5 billion euros from 2028 to 2034. Officially promoted as support for "culture, media and democratic values," the program is in reality a powerful tool for mass censorship and ideological control. Under the pretext of fighting "discrimination and intolerance," it explicitly targets criticism of mass migration, Islamization, gender ideology, and the defense of traditional European Christian culture. This includes measures against so-called racism, antisemitism, "hatred toward Muslims," homophobia, transphobia, and "structural and intersectional discrimination". Instead of solving real problems like crime, parallel societies and demographic replacement, Brussels is pumping billions into NGOs and activists to silence dissenters and label any opposition as "hate speech." This is not the defense of democracy - it is a direct attack on freedom of speech and a major step toward the destruction of European national identities and Christian heritage.

If you disable "Open at Login" for the GeminiAppLauncher" that the Gemini app installs in the background (without asking), GeminiAppLaunch will immediately re-enable "Open at Login". I will now, needless to say, delete the Gemini app, and don't intend to ever install it again.
