We just snorkeled in Antarctica. Face-to-face with penguins torpedoing past, ice crystals drifting like underwater stars, water so clear it feels like flying through silence.

@niccruzpatane is the immersive sound upgrade the same as the one already available on the MS / MX?

Few more features part of the Tesla Spring Update: • You can now display your pet’s name in Dog Mode and customize the avatar. • New immersive sound upgrade: It now uses advanced sound extraction to place the listener in front of a detailed soundstage within an immersive space.

Universal HIGH INCOME via checks issued by the Federal government is the best way to deal with unemployment caused by AI. AI/robotics will produce goods & services far in excess of the increase in the money supply, so there will not be inflation.

@SawyerMerritt would have purchased if I didn't just take delivery of a MX. Although definitely glad I got the color combo I wanted. I was surprised I even received the email

@SawyerMerritt what mode were on? Mad Max or Standard? 2.5 miles out is too far for my liking... I would want just under 2 miles to switch 4 lanes in southern CA

With FSD V14.3 and after, the car consistently moves into the right lanes 2.5 miles before your highway exit. As you can see below, the moment the car is under 2.5 miles from the exit, it turns on the blinker. I have been able to consistently repeat this. With previous versions of FSD, it would often wait until the last minute. No more anxiety from last second exit merging lol. (video sped up)
Sawyer Merritt@SawyerMerritt

Here's my first drive on Tesla FSD V14.3.1. It feels polished vs 14.3 and it my opinion is ready for wide release. • With 14.3.1, you can now tap on the new "P" parking icon and bring up your different parking options • Mad Max mode on the highway feels slightly more conservative with top speed (favors low 80s more often), but will now get to the right lanes sooner to prepare for exiting the highway. In this first drive, Mad Max did not go above 83mph, despite no cars around me most of the time. Follow distance is also more comfortable. I like all these things. • I'm having zero brake stabbing issues on 14.3.1, whereas I had a couple on my first drive with 14.3 • Urban lane selection is better vs 14.3 • Navigation routes and occasional parking alignment still need some work, but that's not a reason to hold back wide release. It still surprises me how much quicker V14.3 reacts to things. If a car pulls out of a parking spot as you drive by, FSD hits the brakes before you even know what's going on. The 20% better reaction time is definitely noticeable.

@rhensing glad to hear... last second lane changes keep giving me anxiety and I'm sure pisses off all the cars. Wonder if it will stay in the HOV lanes instead of trying to jump out and in to overtake with little advantage

Fingers crossed 🤞 this happens. The market is ready for a true full-size EV SUV with a proper third row, the kind where adults don’t need a chiropractor after a short trip. The Escalade IQ is the only real option today, but it’s expensive, not very efficient, and the tech feels underwhelming. Hoping @Tesla jumps into this space soon!!

I believe there is truth in this post from @Jason and I've always said stainless steel is not required for this look and actually stamped panels would be easier and move production faster. What do I know I'm just some guy on the internet?

$TSLA BREAKING : A Reuters article released just before reported that Tesla is working on a new, smaller, cheaper electric SUV. This vehicle is not a variant of the Model 3/Y, but is known to be a completely new vehicle. Four people familiar with the project said the project is still in its early stages of development. Reuters could not confirm whether Tesla had approved production of the vehicle.

@SawyerMerritt funny to say, but I'm ecstatic about the blinkers activating later. it's been killing me when they activate way to early in the roundabout.

Tesla FSD V14.3 first drive impressions: • Highway follow distance is more comfortable • Quicker take off from stop signs after coming to a complete stop • Highway lane change hesitation from previous versions seems gone for me • The navigation routes it takes are still sometimes confusing • It understood detour signs correctly on its way to a Supercharger, but got confused after with how to navigate to the Supercharger. It eventually figured it out. • For the most part, FSD does seem to be choosing parking spots closer to the designation, which is good, but I'm not noticing a big change in parking behavior overall. • Blinker activates later than previous version of FSD, a nice improvement • Speed profiles seem mostly the same Overall, I'm not noticing huge changes vs 14.2.2.5 in my first couple of drives, so I need more time with it. V14.3 does need some smoothening out, but I expect that with a bigger dot release like this. V14.3 feels like it's setting the stage for something larger to come, and that further reasoning capabilities will be added in future FSD updates.

Tesla navigation uses the car’s in-cabin camera (above the rearview mirror) to count the number of passengers, then automatically uses HOV lanes if permitted. It’s the little things Tesla does.
