@DivvyRascal I'd definitely watch it. But wouldn't go out of my way to pay for it. But, my mate says "Hey, do you fancy coming down to the pub to watch Barca v City, followed by Utd v Juve?" I doubt I'd say, "Na, I'm gonna watch Burnley v Palace instead". I'm all for it personally.

The creation of the EPL broke English football. Most football fans watch it and love it. The expansion of the UCL broke European football. Most football fans watch it and love it. The ESL is a natural progression. High horses to one side, let's not pretend we wouldn't watch it.

@Fin_Dex @Indexinho1 Agreed. Media was brilliant. As you say, I never traded for it, but you could still earn divs on a terrible game or minor incident. Plus it was the cherry on top for big performances and a PB win. Any transfer story from now on I will think in media divs.

@DivvyRascal @FootballFrog The real problem now is that it has already been done. Any new model will be met with extreme caution, which limits its growth and appeal.

@FootballFrog It isn't whether a version of FI could work; it's whether the version that people have come to expect could work. I've yet to see a viable model that offers a long-term bet, rewarding dividends and a P2P market. Naively I assumed they had a plan. I was wrong.

Amazing how many now are saying the concept couldn't work...🤦🏻‍♂️😂 Are you a fool? Look at us...yes we have lost money, been lied to and all the rest. But that void is so apparent for most. Speaks volumes. Just a shame those fu*ckers started it and not someone more capable/honest.

@CartelIndex No one really knew it was going to happen. People just saw things differently. My friends stopped playing early as had reservations, but I ignored them as thought I knew better. I was still sensible but never thought it would come to this. Everyone was very protective - see Caan.

@Stevwrig @Mr_Rebound_ Be interesting to hear in what form you think it will be back? I don't think the current product will be back at all. It's simply a case of what happens to people's money now. Once that's sorted there might be a new product, but it will look and play very different.

@Mr_Rebound_ Why do you think that? I hope you're right but with all the figures people throw around about their finances it will probably be vastly different to the past few months, especially in terms of yields.

@Fin_Dex The prices at the minute are exaggerated lower due to what happened. If they were going live with that div structure prices would start much higher, as the same mistakes wouldn’t be made again. With a guaranteed IS cash out maybe it can work. But I don’t see anyone offering it.

The core concept behind #footballindex is brilliant. And in theory, the business model should’ve been sustainable. BUT it was butchered by reckless & incompetent management. As long as existing users can be adequately compensated, I’d love to see FI reborn under new leadership
