@JacobALinker Also no mention of Israel, despite Mamdani and AOC's best wishes. Israel also was mentioned 17 times in the NYT piece compared to 18 for Heifler and 13 for Kiswani. Also, while it took them 2 days to admit the ISIS "smoke device" was an actual bomb. They just let it fly.

Why is the reporting saying that Heifler was planning to assassinate Kiswani?
The District Attorney's Office and the Indictment both say that he was planning vandalism. He was charged for making and possessing unlawful destructive devices (Molotov cocktails).
This is, of course, still bad.

@JoeCruzNYC @HenMazzig @AOC She made up both the assassination and the pro-Israel part, none of them currently show up at either the complaint or the charges. There's not even a hate crime charge. On the other hand, she said nothing on neither the NY ISIS nor the Temple Israel attacks this month alone.

Today, the FBI and NYPD disrupted a plot by a member of a pro-Israel terrorist organization to assassinate Nerdeen Kiswani.
This is a reprehensible act of political violence. There is no place for it in our city nor our country.
I am thankful Ms. Kiswani is safe and the assailant is under arrest.

Well, yeah, Mamdani is sympathetic to Muslim terrorists. I don’t think that’s an exaggeration. I’m not saying he supports them. But sympathetic? Yeah, I think that’s a fair hit.

Mamdani put the word “Jewish” in the first line of his tweet. Then went on to elaborate on the organization. When it comes to Muslim terrorists—like the ones demonstrating in the vicinity of his home—he refuses to name them. Of course Kiswani is an infamous terror supporter herself—and a friend of the mayor.

1. Nothing in the indictment said that this criminal was going to flee to Israel. 2. It’s almost impossible to get to Israel because the airspace is mostly closed. 3. If he did get to Israel, they would arrest him. There is an extradition agreement. Mayor should be trying to lower the temp. Not raise it.

@queens_parents Had to change "allegedly planned to flee to Israel" to reportedly, as there's absolutely no factual basis to that claim and Israel wasn't mentioned in the official complaint. He's just running conspiracy theories as mayor now.
