Conditions in Gaza are beyond disastrous, beyond catastrophic, beyond horrendous, beyond words. May the pain & fear in the eyes of forcibly starved & displaced children & families who have barely survived the genocide haunt all those who are actively committing these atrocities as well as those who are enabling them through silence or actual support. This will not be forgotten.

To all those governments who issue statements of denunciation, condemnation, horror, & even grief at the ongoing Israeli genocide in Gaza, & who “appeal” to the perpetrator to allow some aid into Gaza—please stop. You’re compounding the suffering with your hand-wringing even while you maintain your “special” relationship & complicity with Israel. Only SANCTIONS will produce results. NOW!

Israel has bombed & destroyed all universities & schools in Gaza; closing down UN-run Palestinian schools in Jerusalem comes from the same dark psychopathy & culture of hate.

An assault on children. An assault on education. A sad day in occupied East Jerusalem. This morning, heavily armed Israeli Forces entered three @UNRWA schools in Shu’fat Camp in occupied East Jerusalem, forcing 550+ girls & boys who were in classrooms out of their schools. One UNRWA staff member was detained. As a result, UNRWA was forced to evacuate all children across the six schools it runs in East Jerusalem. Now, nearly 800 girls & boys - some as young as 6 years old- are left in shock and trauma. Storming schools & forcing them shut is a blatant disregard of international law. These schools are inviolable premises of the United Nations. By enforcing closure orders issued last month, the Israeli authorities are denying Palestinian children their basic right to learn. UNRWA schools must continue to be open to safeguard an entire generation of children.

It has been nearly seven weeks since the State of Israel banned the entry of humanitarian aid, medical and commercial supplies, food, vaccines for children and fuel into the #Gaza Strip.
The siege must be lifted, crossings must re-open for a steady flow of aid, and the #ceasefire must be renewed.

Probably the biggest and busiest hospital in Gaza right now was just DIRECTLY HIT by the Israeli military. This atrocity comes days after Human Rights Watch published evidence of Israel’s litany of war crimes against Gaza’s hospitals and called on states to take urgent action.
