More random observations as I start my 4th month on GLP-1 (tirzepatide) PROS 1. Weight loss has plateaued, which I'm fine with. I have visible abs, been called "chiseled" more than once (tyvm). I don't need/want to be tot shredded. 2. I basically only need fruit, protein shake and a hearty dinner. 3. Chronic back pain 90% gone, thanks to lower inflammation 4. Really good bm's/digestion, like clockwork 5. Speaking of inflammation my preference for super spicy food doesn't come back to bite me anymore in the bathroom. Strange. 6. Small aches and pains are gone too CONS: 1. Occasional BAD heartburn. The slower digestion means it can catch up with you later on acidic meals. Punishes even a little overindulgence on rich food. 2. Slightly less motivation to really push cardio in the gym since I am really happy with my weight. A feeling of "I'm good" 3. I do notice a little more wrinkling in my face with it being thinner. Still worth it. 4. Still not sure about long term usage. We'll see. AMA

@ccmembersonly It’s a pain but a kitchen / coffee scale to help with portion tracking is key. Plenty of apps that can help track calories + macros

@dmbkparker @MikeCalcara Had a Subaru Outback living 2 winters in the Wasatch Back. Really great AWD. I used all weather tires, but depending where you are some shops will store and swap winter tires for you. Also in those places Subarus not considered a weird car for a dude

Moving to the mountains, need a car. My wife has a 4WD Tahoe, so the snow buster is covered. Do I go Tesla or Subaru? Paging @MikeCalcara I’m gonna need some help for June.

I don't know man, there's so many games where the OL just didn't get movement. There were 3 games in a row where Derrick Henry had a negative yards-before-contact. Not excusing the offensive approach, but I do think the OLs struggles really hurt Todd Monken.

Standardized test are going to become more & more important as students continue to adopt AI. Homework doesnt work anymore. I’m in MBA classes and the amount of AI slop people post every week is insane. Professors using it for grading and instruction too. Need standardized tests

Rant against @RobinhoodApp : 2 years ago, with great fanfare, Robinhood announced a ground breaking 3% cash back credit card. The catches: You had to open an account to qualify, and possibly sign up for Gold at $5/mo. Two years later, it seems like this was a stunt to get free social media promotion: they’ve only issued a handful of these cards, apparently only to social media influencers who then post about it and get more people to sign up for Robinhood and Gold - none of whom actually receive the coveted 3% card. This seems to skate a grey area of legality since the qualifications lack transparency and the promotion can be seen as deceptive. @RobinhoodApp do better!
