Even by the BBC's standards the interview with the Labour Chair of Parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee this morning on Radio 4 was baffling. He was there to talk about Iranian proxies setting fire to Jewish ambulances in London. And yet on three occasions he referred to the threat posed by "right-wing groups". Anti-semitism is rising on the extreme Right; but to give it any kind of equivalence with the Islamists who actually are blowing things up is deranged.

@PC_Reed I have to take Leo out at that hour as he’s very dog reactive and at 5-5.30 am there’s rarely another dog being walked (we live in a dog walking hot spot it seems!). The trade off is noticing everything about the seasons and nature which is priceless with today’s pace of life.

RIP Ella 😢 We are deeply saddened to share that Ella passed away peacefully yesterday. Ella was a proud and talented player for Wakefield AFC Juniors, Rothwell Juniors, and the Leeds United Shadow Squad. She was a huge part of our grassroots football family — not only for her ability and dedication on the pitch, but for her smile, her spirit, and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Ella will always hold a special place in the hearts of all who knew her. The memories she created, the friendships she built, and the passion she showed for the game will never be forgotten.
