Incident Report: Drowning Incident in District Jaffarabad Location:28.24107° N, 68.12008° E Date: 25th March 2026 Time: 01:00 AM A drowning incident has been reported from District Jaffarabad, wherein a 15 year old boy reportedly fell into the Hairdin Drain, Khanput area near the Balochistan–Sindh border at approx 03:30 PM on 24th March. According to initial reports received from the District Administration Jaffarabad, immediate response efforts were undertaken in coordination with the local community to locate and recover the body. Despite exhaustive efforts, the search operation remained unsuccessful. In view of the proximity of the incident site to the Sindh border, the District Administration Jaffarabad approached PDMA Balochistan and also the Government of Sindh, specifically Rescue 1122 Sindh, to initiate parallel search and recovery operations. Furthermore, the PEOC PDMA Balochistan, established inter-provincial coordination with PDMA Sindh and Rescue 1122 Sindh. The request for assistance has been formally acknowledged and accepted by the concerned authorities. On the directions of the Worthy Relief Commissioner / Director General PDMA, Mr. Jahanzeb Khan Ghorezai, and under the special instructions of Director Rescue, Mr. Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, a specialized PDMA Balochistan's Rescue Team has been mobilized. Accordingly, the rescue contingents of PDMA Balochistan and Rescue 1122 Sindh are scheduled to depart at first light on 25th March 2026 to conduct joint search and recovery operations. District Harnai: Earthquake Report Date: 20th March 2026. Time: 02:15 PM Light earthquake tremors were felt in District Harnai at approximately 2:00 PM. The jolts were reported in different parts of the district. District Laseblla: Heavy Rains Trigger Flooding, Structural Damage and Casualties Dated: 20th March 2026. Time: 02:00 AM On the evening of 19th March, damage has been reported across multiple tehsils of District Lasbela following heavy rainfall- Thunder and wind strom that triggered flash floods, infrastructure collapse, and loss of life, according to initial field assessments. In Tehsil Bela, a sharp rise in water levels was recorded in both the Khanta Nadi and the Porali River due to flash flooding. The situation escalated in Ismailani Goth, where the overflow of the A Saa Dora water channel inundated an estimated 40x to 50x houses. Several nearby settlements including Sarianwari, Kumacha, Ismailani, and Wariani were also affected, with residents facing significant disruption. The Municipal Committee Bela office, a fibre parking shed collapsed under pressure from the windstrom, damaging multiple vehicles parked underneath. In Tehsil Uthal, The Roofs of at least 05x houses collapsed in Mauza Pawan, while a wall collapse in Mauza Dambi resulted in the death of a child and injuries to another. Reports of livestock losses have also emerged, assessment underway. In Tehsil Lyari, two houses in Goth Mir Ganjdad (Mauza Milan) suffered roof collapses. However, no casualties were reported from the area. District Lasbella: Losses and Damages Report Date: 20th march 2026. Time: 01:00 am A severe windstorm caused loss of life and significant damage in various areas of District Lasbela on Thursday. According to initial reports, 01x child lost their life while another sustained injuries after a boundary wall collapsed amid strong winds. In the Dambi area, several tent houses were also blown down, leaving multiple families affected. The storm further caused structural damage to several Houses in Pawan area and public property, as a shed at the Municipal Committee office collapsed, damaging several parked vehicles. The Deputy Commissioner Lasbela promptly visited the affected areas, reviewed the situation on ground, and directed immediate response measures. Emergency teams were deployed in the field to assist affected residents. Relief Operations Launched in Hub District for Affected Communities. Dated: 19th March 2026. On the Direction of Hon'ble Chief Minister Balochsitan, Mir Sarfarz Bugti (@PakSarfrazbugti), PDMA & district administration Hub has commenced relief operations in the areas affected by recent adverse weather conditions. The Deputy Commissioner Hub has directed concerned authorities to immediately mobilize relief goods provided by the PDMA Balochistan. The relief items are being promptly distributed among the affected families to ensure timely assistance and support. The PEOC PDMA is actively coordinating with district administration and monitoring the situations. Heavy Rain and Gusty Winds Cause Casualty and Widespread Damage in Hub Dated: 18th March 2026 Heavy rainfall accompanied by strong gusty winds has caused significant damage and disruption across various areas of District Hub, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. According to initial reports, a roof collapse incident in Hub city and Sakran resulted in a child's Casualty, while several others sustained injuries. The injured were promptly rescued and shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Adverse weather conditions also led to the fall of electric poles in multiple localities, disrupting power supply in several areas. Additionally, incidents of boundary wall collapses and damage to solar panels have been reported, further compounding the impact on local residents. The District Administration /DDMA responded swiftly by deploying emergency teams to the affected areas. Rescue operations were carried out efficiently, ensuring timely evacuation and medical assistance to the injured. PDMA Balochistan Participates in Coordination Meeting on Security at Quetta International Airport Quetta — On the directions of the Relief Commissioner / Director General and under the instructions of the Director Rescue, the Deputy Director PDMA Balochistan, Mr. attended a coordination meeting on security-related matters held at . During the meeting, the Deputy Director briefed the participants about the operational readiness of PDMA Balochistan. He informed that PDMA maintains a dedicated rescue team equipped with ambulance and fire truck services, which can be promptly deployed in the event of any emergency situation at the airport or surrounding areas. Highlighting the importance of inter-agency coordination, Mr. Asghar Ali Jamali proposed the establishment of a formal WhatsApp group comprising focal persons from all relevant departments and authorities. The initiative aims to ensure swift communication, timely information sharing, and a coordinated response mechanism during emergencies. The chair of the meeting appreciated the proposal and directed the concerned authorities to establish the WhatsApp group at the earliest. The step is expected to strengthen coordination among stakeholders and enhance the effectiveness of emergency preparedness and response at Quetta International Airport. The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all participating departments to maintain close coordination and ensure effective preparedness to respond to any potential security or emergency situation.

Immediate assistance was requested to initiate a rescue operation. Upon the direction of the worthy Relief Commissioner/Director General PDMA Balochistan, Mr. Jahanzeb Khan Ghorezai, and Director Rescue, Mr. Naveed Ahmed Sheikh, the PEOC promptly dispatched a rescue team to the incident site. Under the command of the Incharge Rescue, the PDMA #Rescue #Team reached the location swiftly, equipped with a portable stretcher, essential rescue gear, and ambulance support. The PDMA Rescue team, in coordination with the local community and district authorities, #successfully #rescued the individual from the site. The injured person was shifted to the hospital from the incident site at approximately 09:08 PM for further #Medical #treatment. On 25th February 2026 at approximately 11:10 AM, the Provincial Emergency Operations Center (PEOC), PDMA Balochistan, received an emergency call from the MERC Control Room regarding a drowning incident at Master Colony. The PDMA Rescue Force was immediately dispatched and reached the incident site at 11:32 AM. Upon arrival, the first responding team conducted a rapid assessment and reported that the affected area was heavily inundated with contaminated sewage water and filled with garbage and debris, significantly hampering visibility and access. Manual search operations were initiated using hooks and other available equipment. Meanwhile, a rescue boat along with a outboat motor (BM) and necessary rescue equipment was dispatched and reached the site at approximately 2:00 PM, where formal search and recovery operations commenced. On the directions of the Relief Commissioner / Director General PDMA Balochistan, Mr. Jahanzeb Khan Ghorezai, the Director Rescue, Mr. Naveed Ahmed, and the Deputy Director Rescue, Asghar Ali Jamali were deputed to supervise and monitor the ongoing operation on-site. To expedite the process, PDMA Balochistan deployed additional heavy machinery including excavators, tractors, and heavy-duty dewatering pumps. Following the inspection by the Relief Commissioner / DG PDMA, instructions were issued to initiate excavation to facilitate the dewatering process. On the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the Relief Commissioner / DG PDMA paid a second visit to the site along with Commissioner Quetta, Mr. Shahzeb Khan Kakar, and Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mr. Meharullah Badini. The delegation inspected the ongoing efforts and reviewed operational progress. The dewatering operation commenced at approximately 6:45 AM on 26th February 2026 with two heavy-duty pumps operating continuously, while boat-based search operations also remained underway. The Relief Commissioner / DG PDMA conducted a third visit at around 2:00 PM on 26th Feb, accompanied by Commissioner Quetta Div and Deputy Commissioner Quetta to oversee the final phase of the operation. After sustained and coordinated efforts by the PDMA Rescue Force and allied sections, the body was successfully recovered following a 29-hour prolonged operation. The deceased child’s body was respectfully handed over to the bereaved family. This operation reflects the unwavering commitment, operational expertise, professionalism of PDMA Balochistan’s staff, and strong intra-departmental coordination, where each section played a vital role in the successful execution of this challenging rescue and recovery mission.

Meanwhile, a rescue boat along with a outboat motor (BM) and necessary rescue equipment was dispatched and reached the site at approximately 2:00 PM, where formal search and recovery operations commenced. On the directions of the Relief Commissioner / Director General PDMA Balochistan, Mr. Jahanzeb Khan Ghorezai, the Director Rescue, Mr. Naveed Ahmed, and the Deputy Director Rescue, Asghar Ali Jamali were deputed to supervise and monitor the ongoing operation on-site. To expedite the process, PDMA Balochistan deployed additional heavy machinery including excavators, tractors, and heavy-duty dewatering pumps. Following the inspection by the Relief Commissioner / DG PDMA, instructions were issued to initiate excavation to facilitate the dewatering process. On the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the Relief Commissioner / DG PDMA paid a second visit to the site along with Commissioner Quetta, Mr. Shahzeb Khan Kakar, and Deputy Commissioner Quetta, Mr. Meharullah Badini. The delegation inspected the ongoing efforts and reviewed operational progress. The dewatering operation commenced at approximately 6:45 AM on 26th February 2026 with two heavy-duty pumps operating continuously, while boat-based search operations also remained underway. The Relief Commissioner / DG PDMA conducted a third visit at around 2:00 PM on 26th Feb, accompanied by Commissioner Quetta Div and Deputy Commissioner Quetta to oversee the final phase of the operation. After sustained and coordinated efforts by the PDMA Rescue Force and allied sections, the body was successfully recovered following a 29-hour prolonged operation. The deceased child’s body was respectfully handed over to the bereaved family. This operation reflects the unwavering commitment, operational expertise, professionalism of PDMA Balochistan’s staff, and strong intra-departmental coordination, where each section played a vital role in the successful execution of this challenging rescue and recovery mission.
