Churchill Downs Inc. reported a profit of $383 million in 2025 with a revenue of $2.93 billion. With that scale, there’s no excuse not to prioritize horses’ safety. But if it keeps accepting its reputation as one of the deadliest tracks, the industry will keep heading in the same destructive direction.
