It would be funny… if it weren’t so revealing. On the PA House floor this week, lawmakers were ready to celebrate Women’s History Month. But Speaker McClinton (D - 191) awkwardly canceled the proposed resolution after Rep. Bernstine (R - 8) introduced an amendment that would require the word "woman" to be defined in the resolution. Let’s be clear: a woman is an adult human female. That’s not controversial. It’s biological reality. When Democrat leadership can’t acknowledge something so basic, it demonstrates the institutional capture of the Democrat party by the radical LGBTQ lobby, and is further evidence of why Democrat leadership refuse to protect women’s rights, spaces, and opportunities. Pennsylvania families deserve better than a sex-rejecting ideological agenda divorced from biological reality. We need truth, clarity, and the courage to say what everyone knows is real. Join us in bringing back common sense. Stay informed and take action at pafamily.org.

This time, they just walked out rather than voting on the Save Women's Sports Act Earlier this week, in the House Children & Youth Committee, Democrats avoided a vote on SB 9 in the craziest way yet. Minority Chair, Rep. Kate Klunk (R - 169) made a motion to bring up the Save Women's Sports Act for a vote during "other business." Rep. Liz Hanbidge (D - 61), committee chair at the time, promptly denied the motion. Rep. Klunk appealed, but instead of allowing discussion on the motion, Rep. Hanbidge proceeded to steamroll her way through a vote, ignoring the objections of Republicans in the committee. After the vote, she and the rest of the Democrats proceeded to get up and walk out as Republican members attempted to make their voices heard. Protocol was ignored as they shut down the Save Women's Sports Act. What are they so afraid of? Visit pafamily.org to stay informed and take action on SB 9.

HB 1800 has passed the PA House, advancing an effort led by House Democrats to redefine marriage in Pennsylvania law. This legislation removes the historic understanding of marriage as the union of one man and one woman from state statute. This is not just symbolic. Laws teach, shape culture, and carry consequences. This change reflects a deeper shift away from a view of marriage rooted in family formation and the well-being of children. Just as concerning, HB 1800 offers no meaningful protections for those who continue to hold to this longstanding understanding of marriage — including faith-based adoption agencies, religious schools, charities, and everyday citizens. Across the country, similar legal changes have led to real consequences for people of faith. Pennsylvanians deserve laws that respect both truth and the freedom to live according to deeply held convictions. The legislation now moves to the PA Senate, where thankfully the Senate leadership is not expected to take it up.

🎯Spot on, @DanBartkowiak! Girls deserve better than this denial of basic biology. Senator Williams’ claim that “Female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable as male bodies” is WRONG! She is flatly contradicted by the medical and sports-science consensus. See reference materials in the comments below⬇️ Laughing about it doesn’t change the physiology!
Dan Bartkowiak@DanBartkowiak

Today, PA State Senator Lindsey Williams (D-Pittsburgh), in prepared remarks ahead of the committee vote on the Save Women's Sports Act (Senate Bill 9), in effect called for the eradication of separate sports for boys and girls. "Female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable as male bodies." These types of claims are simply rooted in political-driven fantasy. Why do we have girls sports to begin with? Why is there Title IX? As the bill co-sponsor @SenatorKristin stated to the committee, "Women before us successfully fought for equality with educational and athletic opportunity. In Title IX, it was a promise to our daughters and our granddaughters. And SB9 keeps that promise." The #SaveWomensSports Act #SB9 passed out of committee 7-4. All Republicans voted yes to protect girls. All Democrats voted against it. Thank you to Senator Phillips-Hill and @SenatorJWard for your testimony and @SenatorKeefer @SenMastriano @rothman_greg, @SenatorArgall @SenatorJColeman @SenatorKimWard and Education Committee Chair Senator Culver for voting in favor of protecting girls and for saving women's sports.

@GovernorShapiro It also means not subjecting children to harmful sex-rejecting procedures including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and mutilating surgeries. Governor, will you support the Do No Harm Act, #SB843, by @SenatorJWard, to help ensure an end to these devastating practices?

"Female bodies are just as strong and fast and capable as male bodies." - State Senator Lindsay Williams in PA today If this were the case, why were women's sports created in the first place? They just say words and expect us to nod along.

Controversy today in the PA House Children and Youth Committee over the Democrats continuing to block votes (and comments) on #SB9. @RepKateKlunk “Madam chair, you are taking a roll without taking comments from members of your committee.” youtube.com/live/TifN73W9U…

Democrats in PA House again resist efforts by Republicans to protect biological girls by avoiding a vote on the transgenders in sports bill, SB 9. It played out in the Children & Youth Comm. when Republicans called for a vote on the bill. They were denied and Dems walked out.

Gosnell is not an outlier. (One of the nine points made in this piece by @PFIpolicy) David Altrogge is a filmmaker who produced the award-winning Gosnell documentary 3801 Lancaster: American Tragedy, which contains interviews with Dr. Kermit Gosnell himself and some of his patients. Altrogge was the first to interview Gosnell after his trial, conducting 20 interviews over seven months with him. (Altrogge is also referenced numerous times in the book the Gosnell movie is based on.) “I don’t believe that Kermit Gosnell is an outlier in the abortion industry,” states Altrogge. “If you look at the amount of money he made doing what he was doing, there’s no way that he’s the only guy doing it.” The grand jury report documented Gosnell was making between $10,000 and $15,000 a night from abortions. As PA Family’s Dan Bartkowiak writes in @FDRLST, “As a direct result of the new abortion facilities law, five surgical abortion locations closed. Three closed voluntarily, but the other two were closed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health….The two forced to close were Allentown Medical Services and American Women’s Services, both connected to the infamous late-term abortionist Steven Brigham, whose medical license has been suspended or revoked in at least five states, including Pennsylvania… If Pennsylvania did not pass this law, both of these facilities connected with Brigham would still be butchering women. Many have pointed to Kermit Gosnell as the reason for abortion facility improvements. While that is enough reason, Gosnell is in jail now. People like Steven Brigham are still out there operating clinics—but no longer in Pennsylvania, thanks to the improved regulation.” As @marjoriesba with @sbaprolife puts it: "Gosnell is not an outlier among abortionists, he is only one of the few to be brought to some measure of justice for black-letter crimes. From Ulrich ‘George’ Klopfer hoarding more than 2,200 tiny bodies on his Indiana property, to Planned Parenthood being criminally referred for the harvest and sale of baby body parts, to Minnesota Democrats led by Tim Walz burying evidence of babies born alive and left to die, the corruption endemic to the brutal abortion industry is still very much alive.” pafamily.org/2026/03/24/9-t…

This morning, we were proud to be present for the launch of PA's anti human trafficking coalition led by Senator Cris Dush. Human trafficking continues to be a scourge on our state and nation, and we must put an end to it. Let's protect the dignity of human life, because life has value! @SenatorDush
