The issue with this logic is that Hasan presents a *very* different portrayal of himself in magazine and media interviews than on his stream. He pretends to be a standard social democrat when he engages with other outlets. On his stream, he literally endorses murderous regimes.

I am not a big fan of Abdul el-Sayed, but he's right here.
JD Vance has in fact argued that his own children are less American than others.
He's explicitly said ancestry matters for determining Americanness, so I don't know how he doesn't apply it to his own family.

There is a non-zero chance that the national Dem Party, its donors & its media will decide to abandon/sabotage populist anti-establishment Dem nominees in the upcoming general election. Many in this corporate faction would rather such nominees lose - even if that means Dems losing the Senate & governorships - than see these candidates win. Why? Because if these candidates win, they threaten to change the Democratic Party and make the corporate faction irrelevant.
