Killer personal trainer 26 repeatedly ran over football lover after failing to defrost her windscreen and dismissed him as smackhead as he lay dying under her car Megan Murphy aged 26 a personal trainer repeatedly ran over Darryl Tomlinson aged 31 with her Citroen DS3 on January 9th 2025 in Ince near Wigan after making an inadequate attempt to clear ice from her windscreen. She drove forward running over him with her front offside wheel then reversed over him again before driving forward a third time crushing his torso despite a neighbour warning her and a taxi driver honking his horn. Murphy who had been behaving erratically in the days before walked away from the scene three minutes later and was overheard calling Tomlinson a smackhead while he lay trapped under her car and claiming she had reversed over him. She admitted causing death by dangerous driving at Bolton Crown Court but the judge is yet to sentence her while an investigation continues into why emergency services failed to attend despite multiple 999 calls from neighbours. Darryl who loved football from being able to walk and worked with his father was left incoherent and unresponsive in the road after a night out and his family said his death changed all their lives. His mother Michelle said if Megan Murphy had seen him or if the ambulance had done their job properly then Darryl would still be here while his father Tommy said he holds the girl accountable for taking his life. She is now awaiting sentence
