Trump is VERY transparent. That post perfectly expresses his utter frustration. Opening the Strait of Hormuz is not just a matter of will. We don’t have a sustainable military answer right now because we don't have a defensive shield against asymmetric warfare (cheap drones and missiles), as Ukraine has against Russia. When the U.S. launched Project Freedom roughly two weeks ago, three guided-missile destroyers were sent through the Strait to escort commercial shipping. The Navy came under a sustained barrage of Iranian drones and missiles and intercepted 100% of the attacks. Yet the defensive effort after just two days was extraordinarily resource-intensive. It nearly depleted the missile magazines of two Guided-Missile Destroyers and required support from more than 100 aircraft (F-35 fighters and attack helicopters). It costs an estimated $50–100 million to get just two commercial ships through safely over two days. This model is completely unsustainable beyond a brief demonstration. The U.S. cannot realistically guarantee a perfect interception record against repeated sustained barrages. All it would take is one drone or missile getting through, and the images of a burning American warship would be a major political disaster. Below, Trump isn’t raging at the media alone. He’s raging because we don't have a cost-effective Military solution (money and lives at risk) to opening the Strait.

This isn't AI, it's the Huajiang Canyon Bridge in Guizhou, China, the world's highest bridge at 625 meters above the river beneath it. It features a man-made waterfall created by diverting karst spring water discovered during tunnel construction.

I am amongst the voice of the opposition in INDIA & everyday I attack the government on television & social media, am severely critical of the PM & his ministers and no one has ever taken any action against me. I find it offensive you compare my country's press freedom with Emirates or Cuba ! Sure all INDIAN's would want even greater freedom of speech but your comparison of freedom of media in INDIA being comparable with regimes that police FoS is absolutely false & unfortunate! Wish you luck!! @HelleLyngSvends
Helle Lyng@HelleLyngSvends

Primeminister of India, Narendra Modi, would not take my question, I was not expecting him to. Norway has the number one spot on the World Press Freedom Index, India is at 157th, competing with Palestine, Emirates & Cuba. It is our job to question the powers we cooperate with.

Why Modi keeps winning: Out of pocket medical expense was the fastest way Indians slid into poverty. It has been slashed by 24% as 435 million are now benefiting from Ayushman Health insurance. 116 million have already received medical treatment through it. Staggering numbers.

#WATCH | Kolkata: On yesterday's incident of stone pelting in Park Circus area, West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari says, "Such incidents no longer occur in Kashmir. In Bengal, people had become accustomed to a certain laxity—they felt that the government would not take any action against them. The police will now act strictly in accordance with the law; they are the law enforcement agency. Gone are the days when police personnel would get injured while the Police Minister merely sat in an air-conditioned room, watching the things unfold—forget those days now. From this point forward, hooliganism will be eradicated from Bengal. The message must reach everyone that this government is here to take action. Regarding the recent incident, someone had actually posted about it on social media before it even took place—the police are currently investigating this matter. Previously, the police were unable to function effectively due to certain political biases; however, they are now free and are operating strictly in accordance with the law under the BNSS framework. Furthermore—in terms of strengthening and modernising the Kolkata Police, as well as enhancing their infrastructure and logistical support—just wait and watch; they will prove to be the finest among all police forces. They deserve our full support. I would like to request the Union Home Minister to allow the 40 companies of paramilitary forces currently deployed here to remain in the state until alternative arrangements can be made; otherwise, we will face a severe manpower shortage. I appeal to the public to extend their full cooperation to both the police and the government. However, engaging in stone-pelting or vitiating the atmosphere by misusing religious slogans—none of this will be tolerated in Bengal under any circumstances."

Kolkata: Govt clears illegal encroachments + bans namaz on public roads Response: Violent mob, stone pelting, 3 cops injured, CRPF bus vandalised, 20 arrested. Asansol: Police ask mosque to lower loudspeakers to Supreme Court-mandated decibel limits Response: stones pelted at police outpost, vehicles vandalised, 7 arrested. Just to be clear what happened here. No curfew. No religious ban. No persecution. Illegal structures removed. (The law.) Roads cleared for prayer. (The law.) Noise limits enforced. (The Supreme Court.) Just routine governance. Applied equally. As it should be. And response was violence against the state.

India crossed the credibility threshold today. ASML doesn't sign training and R&D commitments lightly. They have one of the most disciplined customer selection processes in semicap. Putting institutional weight behind Dholera means they see India as a 20-year fab geography. Honestly, they probably no longer have a choice. The equipment was always available for purchase - unless you're China. But getting global tier-1s to commit infrastructure, talent and supply chain depth to a country with zero operational 300mm fab history is what is real work. That door is now open and probably what's most exciting from here onwards. Applied Materials, TEL, Lam, KLA, JSR, TOK and Shin-Etsu will read this announcement the same way. The supplier ecosystem moves once the litho leader commits. Expecting a wave of similar MoUs over the next 12-18 months. Infact, LAM has already been building a supply chain for the last few months. A few listed companies have already talked about it. For investors - Building depth on SEMI ecosystem in India will probably earn a lot of fruits!!

⚡️ Energy Power Is Concentrated in Just 2 Countries That's the real secret to rule the 🌎 🇨🇳China and 🇺🇸the United States dominate almost everything that matters 🪨 Coal: China = 52% of global production 🛢️ Crude oil: US = 21%, Saudi Arabia = 11%, Russia = 11% 🔥 Natural gas: US = 25% of global output ☢️ Nuclear: US = 30%, China catching fast at 16% 🌊 Hydro: China = 30% ☀️ Solar: China = 39% 🌬️ Wind: China = 40% 🌽 Biofuels: US = 37%, Brazil = 22% The energy transition is additive, not substitutive. China leads in coal + renewables at the same time. The US dominates oil, gas, nuclear, and biofuels. Energy security is about scale across systems, not picking one fuel. China doesn’t “choose” coal or renewables... It uses everything The US doesn’t move past oil... It layers energy sources. 🇪🇺 Europe isn’t even in the top tier on most categories. Energy power in 2026 is who can produce, process, and control energy at scale. And right now, that club has 2 members.

The United States are abandoning another ally: “We will not defend Taiwan, and we are halting weapons deliveries to the island because they themselves want to start a war against China,” Trump. This exactly the same rhetoric Trump used against Ukraine: “You don’t start a war against somebody that’s 20 times your size, and then hope that people give you some missiles.”

🇨🇳 China just switched on the world's largest offshore solar farm 2.3 million solar panels. 2,934 steel platforms. 11,736 piles driven into the ocean floor. Built to survive force-11 gales and sea ice. It sits 5 miles off the coast and powers 2.67 million people. Oh, and they're also farming fish underneath it 😳

Sulfuric acid is the most important ingredient for our whole industry. Because of Hormuz and export controls, we have lost a huge chunk of global production. Sulfur/sulfuric acid is needed for: Fertilizer -> food Mining -> copper, nickel, zinc, uranium Water treatment Manufacturing -> plastic, paints, synthetic fibers, drugs, explosives Even before the Hormuz crisis, sulfur prices were surging... now a desperate situation is getting worse. When the most used industrial ingredient is surging, expect prices across the whole global supply chain to rise
