It’s interesting how fans of legitimate P4 candidates like Tulane, Memphis, and Boise State don’t seem bothered by USF gaining traction, while fans of less realistic hopefuls are the ones getting spiteful about it. I’ll leave it at that ☕️

@imtreysmith If it did go to 24 the 7-17 model might even help keep things more regional within the “mid majors”. I believe the PAC and American in their current forms deserve more representation in the CFP. Can’t wait to prove it on the field. Sons of Montezuma, we will win again!

@imtreysmith It feels like expansion is inevitable at this point. They expanded the NCAA Tournament when it was not that popular. Seems like only the SEC/ESPN are the ones pushing against it because right now they control the current system.

10 conference champion auto bids + 14 at-large would be ideal But I’d even be ecstatic about a 7-17 Model 1 - ACC 🏆 1 - Big 10 🏆 1 - Big 12 🏆 1 - SEC 🏆 1 - American 🏆 1 - Pac 12 🏆 1 - CUSA/MW/SBC highest ranked 🏆 (3 conferences battling for one spot is better than 6) 17 - At-Large (plenty of slots for ND, runner ups, and 3-loss teams from ‘tougher conferences’)

ACC schools who don’t get a “P2” invite can get a lot of money from exit fees payed. They would also have a step exit fee if they left. I think future realignment between the B12 & ACC is less about taking each others’ teams & more about who gets USF, Memphis, Tulane, UCONN, etc.

@Bill_CFB_Guy @fakepaulblood Would the FAS subdivision be 4 20 team conferences? That’s my guess. Then FBS would have 58 and maybe the top FCS teams would then jump to FBS. I could see all three subdivisions having around 80 teams.

Almost everyone outside of the B1G & SEC thinks it will be a super league. Everyone I talk to within those conferences wants a new subdivision and an antitrust exemption. I think the new subdivision is far more likely. All of the public statements about leaving the NCAA are to get leverage. An antitrust exemption is the holy grail in this.

A little clarification regarding the ACC: When the ACC gets raided by the B1G & SEC, they will be looking to add some schools. But the 1st targets are not the G6. The ACC will talk to Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Kansas & Utah to see if any of them are interested in joining the ACC. Will any of them jump is the real question. If all of those schools say no, they will have to make a decision. Either add some G6 schools or stay small. No one knows for sure what they would do when faced with that choice.
