@grownuppunk @Packagingbook23 @jackunheard It's not ok to have Chinese men (or Russian) purchase dozens of surrogacy babies b/c they want dual citizens. Nor is it OK for women to cross over purely just to give birth in El Paso claiming they can't pay hospital bill and then immediately sign up for benefits.

🚨BREAKING: A Chinese billionaire just got exposed for having 100+ U.S. citizen kids via surrogates as Supreme Court weighs ending birthright citizenship

Looking at the rules on Chinese citizenship in Grok, and assuming that the surrogate mother is US citizen/resident, not chinese citizen the baby may not be a Chinese "citizen" since China does not permit dual citizenship. But they may be eligible to become a chinese citizen at 18. Seems a bit complicated.

I don't know if this is feasible but could we prevent the father from taking the surrogate children out of the country? If they don't take the mother too, voluntarily, might child trafficking laws apply? If the child grows up American, it mitigates the chances of them growing up to be a Chinese sleeper agent. There are no federal laws regarding surrogacy according to Grok.

Sorry for the mspl. OK, apply 14A. Under 14A current and proposed, if the surrogate mother is a citizen, the baby is a citizen. As far as I know, all these surrogate mothers have been US citizen women living in the US. So apply 14A current or proposed and the 100 surrogate babies are still constitutional US citizens. Back to you, Maryanne with an e. What would you do about them?

A Chinese woman comes to the US, gives birth to a US citizen and they both go back to China. 25 years later the child comes to the US. They are a citizen, we have to let them in. But, as a citizen they have been liable for US taxes all these years. If they have not paid, arrest them.

I can buy a Hyundai Elantra for $20m less than the cheapest tesla. If we assume $5gas and elect 25%of that and 15m miles/yr It takes me 10,count'em ten, years to break even At the end of 10 years I have A Hyundai good for another 5-10 years Or a Tesla that needs to be scrapped or spend $10m on a new battery.

You can buy a Tesla Model 3 for the same price as a Toyota Camry. The Tesla wipes the floor with any version of the Camry and can drive itself. EV skeptics will say anything to misinform people. Tesla.com

@EVCurveFuturist The chart is a lie. Or propaganda Or both 45 twh (45,000gwh) divided by 8760hrs/yr is 6.27gw. Not even in the ballpark of the number on the chart. Stop posting lies like this

Future will be determined by electricity generation capacity. China has 6 of the world’s top 10 solar farms. India has 3. Egypt 1. Not evenly distributed—concentrated where scale is being built fastest. Energy = capability Capacity = power That’s how the future gets decided.

Typical utility demand charge in usa is $10kw ($7-15 in China per Grok) first car tha charges at 2mw causes a $20,000 demand charge on that month's utility bill. At 10min/charge, full capacity, the charger can handle 4,320 cars/month demand charge per car (not counting kwh charge) $4.63 If the charger runs at 50% cost is $9. 26/car. Plus kwh. Who pays this and how?

Big Oil is Dying China will be the top supplier of "new energy security." BYD’s newest models have 1,000 km ranges with 5-10 min charging times. NIO has battery swapping stations all over China. And EVs with over 500 horsepower are now common.

@ShangguanJiewen That 5-10 minute charge time requires 1-2mw service to the charger. How many locations have that available? How many millions will it cost to make it available to a single charger?

@Retard_Takes1 @spikesguides Especially in the early days of a mortgage a few dollars extra knocks a month off the mortgage. Pay extra and make sure it goes to principal every chance you can. Easy to pay a 30yr mtg in 10-15 years.

Midong Solar (Xinjiang) is now fully operational — the largest single solar installation in the world. ~3.5 GW ~6–6.5 TWh/year ~2 million homes Not a prototype. Not a pilot. A template—replicated at scale. China is laying down the blueprint. ⚡#Bettrification #Solar #BESS #LFP

@nicpud1 @Peter_Fitz Don't know about cost effectiveness of one vs other. Hydro is good but very location specify. Need water, a mountain where you can build a lake on top and so on. The compressed air system can be put anywhere.

Bollocks. And the huge Tesla battery in SA is a case in point. Stunning success, despite all the know-nothings who endlessly narked up against it.
Brad Stone 🇦🇺@Brad_OneNation

@Peter_Fitz Small ones for homes is fine. Large ones for entire grids don't work and the cost is prohibitive.

Here is my proposal. Iran opens the Strait of Hormuz to all shipping. President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Secretary Hegseth resign. All US bases in the Middle East close forever. Iran agrees to abandon regional proxies. The US stops arms shipments to Israel. Iran agrees to not pursue nuclear weapons and allow verification. What do you say?

Volvo lied about the EX60’s 10-180% charge time. It’s not 18 minutes as originally claimed, it’s actually 16 😉 Euro model with CCS2 shown here. Curious how these will do at boosting old tech 400V Superchsrgrs to native voltage for US (where I assume we get NACS)

Not sure about anyone else but I personally am excited to try out these Chinese EVs coming to Canada. They come highly touted and affordable. Everyone shits on them for being Chinese but I personally don’t give a crap where they are made.
