Jews in Iraq had their citizenship and assets seized, my parents’ families included. My grandfathers were each given 2 year jail terms for being Jewish - and they were lucky, because they weren’t murdered in jail. They took my dad’s roller skates away as he boarded the plane as a child because they didn’t let Jews take anything. My grandmother sewed family photos into the lining of their clothes, that’s all they got out.

I’m for anyone who had property expropriated being compensated. But the Jewish exodus to Israel was not similar to the Nakba overall. Jews made a considered decision to leave, they weren’t driven out at gunpoint (I’m not saying they weren’t experiencing discrimination) and in many cases may have sold their property before leaving in an orderly fashion.

When will Arabs pay reparations to one million Jews and their descendants, who were violently expelled from Arab states and their property was stolen in the 20th century?

We are at a moment that will define President Trump’s legacy. His instincts have been to finish the job he started in Iran, but he is being ill advised to pursue a deal that would not be worth the paper it is written on. Our commander-in-chief needs to allow America's skilled armed forces to finish the destruction of Iran's conventional military capabilities and reopen the strait.   Further pursuit of an agreement with Iran's Islamist regime risks a perception of weakness. We must finish what we started. It is past time for action.

I didn’t say anything about a G-d given right. They lost a war, they lost land. I deny the Nakba the same way I’d deny a day commemorating how the poor Nazis lost. I like Germans today. There is not day commentating how 150,000 Jews got kicked out of Baghdad with their assets seized. We got on with our lives. Much happier existence this way.
