@danila_deedee @NFCC_FireChiefs I would like to understand more. On call is a duty system conceived when people walked to work and were considered well travelled if they cycled to two villages away. It has not moved with society. Genuinely interested in experiences and views on how to improve availability.

@JJSharpers And if the mirror falls off the wall and breaks thats 7 years bad luck no one needs, plus if someone injured themselves, it's open season. If they replace it with a service provided mirror is met responsibility. Organisations protecting themselves.

@RealNeilFenwick The seats look too new (and the right seat too fixed) for a Lancaster. I have never seen the inside of a blenheim but they look too padded for that. I'm going with Vulcan? I hope the new role is as exciting as it sounds.

@JJSharpers It's a great hiding place for trolls and keyboard warriors. I have also learnt that sarcasm doesn't transfer well onto the written word, and that hasn't worked well for me. It's useful for some things and awful for others. An ability to allow things to wash over you is essential.

Twitter is such a pit most of the time. However. I have made some pretty sensational friendships, despite everything ❤️

@LeeADeighton Sorry you are subjected to that. Its a good job olice in this country have such high standards. In some countries just for gobbing off like that you end up with a kiss from an acrylic baton, several times and left in the street to bleed. Thanks for keeping us safe.

I find one of the most difficult parts of parenting to be the sensory over load. We get out of school, have 12 minutes to get to ballet. I’m doing 60mph, it’s pouring down with rain, the radio is on, my windscreen is fogging up and the fans are blowing. Florence wants to know why there’s a ‘K’ in knew. 🫠

@gregbagwell I was unsuccessful twice in the late 90s. It was devastating. I had set up my life from the age of 5 to be a pilot in the RAF. I didnt know it at the time but it opened up an opportunity to work in a different field in a job I truly love and enjoy.

The likelihood of being selected just for entry into RAF pilot training is less than 5% for those that have the courage and criteria to apply (some years it’s as low as 1%). Many fail to get over the very high bar and are understandably disappointed, but it’s high for a reason.

@MerPolTraffic CPS NFAd the case due to insufficient evidence and police offecers being assaulted, stabbed or shot in the line of duty is "part of the job". I hope none of that is true and officers are ok and the perpetrator has justice handed to them. Well done to all involved.

The driver of this Volkswagen Tiguan was seen shooting at pedestrians and vehicles with a paintball gun. He failed to stop and was expertly stung, ending the pursuit. The driver fired at a Police Officer who chased him down and arrested him despite being hit multiple times.
