@RodAVanier Carney has no plan Rod, and discussing it is exactly what a leader does. How much are you being paid to post this shit?

@KathrynMathias1 @LibArtsAndMinds And what script are the floor crossers reading from, they seem to have been put into the back room, not probably what they were expecting.

@LibArtsAndMinds And I imagine being expected to perform like a trained seal, reading out the same script by each opposition MP, was one of the factors leading to floor-crossers' discontent and the sense they weren't doing meaningful work in parliament

That last line? Perfect. Yesterday Pierre was put out because the PM stopped answering his question after the usual number (3?). The #cpc asks the same thing over & over again. Often not a question of substance. It's a waste of time. The PM was more diplomatic in his response.
Scott Robertson@sarobertsonca

PM Carney on not attending Question Period: "We have a very strong team in this government. And I believe in the team responding to Canadians. We govern as a team ... It would also be useful if the opposition had more than one question."

Poilievre grilled Prime Minister Carney like a criminal. PM Carney didn't have to jump in and become Prime Minister. He could retired and walked into the sunset. He chose to fight for Canada against Trump. Yet Poilievre treats so disrespectful. I am sick of Poilievre.

Do you understand why Pierre Poilievre repeatedly asked the Prime Minister to stand up during Question Period today?? It is strategy. @PierrePoilievre is so full of shit and he is too chicken shit to tell Canadians that only The Speaker of the House can enforce Standing Orders and Time Allocation during Question Period - not the Prime Minister. The Leader of the Opposition gets the first and privileged opening in Question Period and is routinely allowed multiple supplementaries so they can press the government; the Speaker and the House's standing orders set the timing, order and limits. Here are some links to prove the facts: Standing Orders of the House of Commons ourcommons.ca/procedure/stan… Our Procedure - Questions ourcommons.ca/procedure/our-… Annotated Standing Orders (Chapter V: Questions) ourcommons.ca/procedure/anno… House Journals / Hansard (Debates) publications.gc.ca/site/archivee-… Pass This On...

@talon8377 @ScorpioRising08 @PierrePoilievre They assume you are not smart because you keep accepting a shitty government, huge debt, no economy, and all the lies they keep telling you. Maybe just maybe they are trying to help you.

@ScorpioRising08 @PierrePoilievre Why can't Polievre or any of the conservatives ask a question without all the nonsense? I am tired of hearing them all ask the same question. Do they assume we are not smart enough to notice? Can they not think for themselves? The PM has others trusted to answer the questions.

Our Prime Minister isn’t feuding with the Pope. Neither is he portraying himself as Jesus, picking fights with NATO or causing chaos throughout the world. he’s just doing what the voters asked 🇨🇦

"Nicknamed the George Clooney of finance, this rock-star central-bank governor is now turning heads as a Prime Minister," writes @Lagarde on @MarkJCarney named to TIME’s 2026 list of the world’s most influential people. I usually find these lists meaningless, but it’s hard to remember the last time a Canadian political leader, PM or MP, made the cut. time.com/collection/100…

@TheresaLubowitz When you ask the citizens of the UK, not the politicians, they say Carney failed them, indebted them, and left the country worse off. Seems he's on his way here as well. Do you think all the debt is possibly a good strategy or does it favour his investments in Brookfield?

I have a lot of criticisms of Mark Carney but none of them are that he lacks a strong economic education. He literally has a PhD in Economics from Oxford, after studying it at Harvard. Not to mention the only Central Bank Governor to two nations. What a ridiculous thing to say.

@CanadianPolling I think the current record for shitting on the floor of a moving train in Ontario is 60km and with 90 billion in funding the record will be beaten, solidly. So looking forward to the video.

@JZerucelli John is the perfect example of someone out of touch with reality. Borrowing more money for this project will make inflation climb even higher and for the record MOA's are not building a damn thing except Carney's ego.

Pierre and the Conservatives are showing their true colours again. Pierre Poilievre says he’ll cancel the Alto high-speed rail project, that’s 51,000 good-paying jobs gone. That’s not a plan. That’s walking away from the people who build this country. These are nation building jobs, paycheques for ironworkers, operating engineers, pipefitters, electricians, and labourers. The skilled trades that keep our communities growing. Canada is ready to build. Under @MarkJCarney, we’re building big and building bold, using Canadian steel, aluminum, lumber, and Canadian workers. Real projects. Good union jobs.

@brianlilley The Lieberals approved his hiring. His language was brought up then and he was still hired. If I were him I would be suing for his forced resignation. Michael Ma made a farce of genocide and didn't apologize in french, GG doesn't speak french.

He was Air Canada’s CFO during the 2008-09 financial crash. He took over as CEO in 2021 when air travel was decimated. Just 6 weeks ago Air Canada financial results showed record revenue. But now he’s out because he didn’t do a video in French torontosun.com/opinion/column…

@grkcanadian @stphnmaher @ChantalHbert Wrong as Conservatives know that the Lieberal government vetted Mr. Rousseau for his position specifically that his not speaking French was permissible. English is the official language of aviation regardless of country. Facts matter.

The absurdity of police services not taking part of the federal #buyback program, based on claims they don't "have the capacity" to collect prohibited firearms (@OPP_News), is that police services, in their regular duties, "will continue to accept prohibited firearms without compensation" (@GuelphPolice) - only without special funding & compensation for owners... @Polysesouvient @OPP_News The firearms were bought legally, they are not illegal and the owners have all the valid paperwork. Take you crying somewhere else with your fake gun buyback. Legal owners don't own any assault weapons, stop lying to the public.

In the case of Air Canada’s CEO, we have now been waiting for twenty years. He lives in Quebec. His wife is francophone. He leads a company that is subject to the Official Languages Act. Five years ago, in Montreal, he delivered a speech entirely in English and promised he would learn French. More than 400 hours of tutoring later, he is still at “bonjour” and “merci.” I believe we have been patient. Very patient. But at some point, respect for a language, for the law, and for the country cannot be optional. It must be real, concrete, and upheld.
