@colmmacc A constitutional convention is problematic because each state would have equal power there afaik. Perhaps if the large states split up into several small states there would be a path forward - either via the existing institutions or a convention.

Is there a peaceful path to reconstituting the United States and bringing about a second republic that is democratic and accountable? What would that look like? This question seems like one of the most important of our time, but seems outside of bounds, why?
