I've watched Pete Hegseth testify and anyone who does so with an open mind, will readily see that he is a toxic caricature. He has delusions that he is starring in a war movie. He is arrogant and ignorant. His narrative never has any depth. He speaks as if what's good and what's right are not even complex subjects, or debates borne of perspective. He loves American Exceptionalism but believes that it's only defined by musculature and pomposity. He couldn't care less for us being a shining example for others, or a force for a greater good. He couldn't care less for sharing strategy or being accountable. He creates lasting disdain for America on a global level like few others ever have and make no mistake - this disdain will permeate for generations. He doesn't present arguments. He doesn't share justifications. He doesn't care for transparency, and the only thing he cares less for than that, is humanity. As a behaviorist, I can feel the things he's been accused of - like alcoholism and misogyny and reckless sharing of info - underlying his attitude and every utterance, and you can feel how unapologetic he is for any of it. He is a brazen politician serving an audience of one. He is a Made for TV concoction, and a vacuous mishmash of hormones and neurotransmitters. That he's running the US Defense Dept. is incredibly disgraceful, dangerous and disturbing.

I am going to say something that is going to anger my fellow republicans about Mamdani: I listened to his interview with @LuluGNavarro - for a low information voter who has no time to pay attention to the substance of his message, what he is saying is absolutely brilliant in his attacks against the right. The tone of what he is saying is brilliant. It is part folksy everyman, republicans have abandoned the working class and are a bunch of elites without being harsh or conspiratorial. He has gotten very strong, very fast and is evolving in his national messaging to the rest of the country. Despite my abject fear and repulsion of socialism, it is really impactful. If democrats are smart they will nominate someone with his tenor and tone on economics and national policy (leaving out Israel and international politics which is a whole other ball of wax). If democrats do this in '28, we have a huge fucking problem. A huge fucking problem we will not be able to podcast bro our way out of.

Trump is a mental and physical mess. Mentally, he's never been fit to serve as President. Now, he's not even fit to serve food at McDonald's. He's lying at an unprecedented pace. The lies are rudimentary and unmistakable in their falsity. They're defensive and deflective and desperate, and often the opposite of truth. He is unable to curtail political partisanship in any setting - not with foreign leaders, not with the military, nor with children, nor anywhere. Physically, he can barely sustain public view for any length of time without gaffes and uneven energy. His neurological deterioration is progressing. And - pathology and neurology aside - he is an obese man now in his 80's, with severe stress, near-constant rage, who washes cheeseburgers down with diet soda, overuses Adderall, never exercises, and is kept alive with IVs and experimental meds. A total mess. The mainstream media cannot continue to be fixated on reporting his words as information - that normalizes Trump and perpetuates false equivalencies. He is clearly decompensating and dangerous. He's being scoffed at all over the world. What's the point of reporting what he says as oratory - it's all politicized rage, blather and nonsensicality. When does reporting him properly become a requirement or obligation? When do TV networks ask psychologists to comment about it on the air? We're here, as we always have been.

The in-group is “morally superior,” “ordered,” “beautiful” & “normal.” The out-group is “abnormal,” “scarred” & “deformed.” The in-group goes to church on Sunday (Miller is Jewish). The out-group is “violent,” “junkies,” & “predators” This is precisely how the Nazis spoke about their political opposition. It is a full-throated commitment to eugenics as policy. You know that the criminal and the junky and the predator is a threat to normal, healthy living. This is so much deeper than issues about taxation and regulation, although they're incredibly important. It's about normal, healthy, ordered living. And the violent leftists for these deep-seated reasons, going back to the earliest wisdom taught to us in the Bible about coveting. And I'm not talking about rich versus poor. I'm talking about a much deeper kind of coveting. Coveting people who are morally superior. Who are superior in the simple, truthful way they live their lives. People that they look at who are happy and ordered and peaceful and contributing to the communities. That burns an ember in them and that's how you end up with the horrors we've seen throughout history. Where good families are dragged that into the street and executed.”
