I've officially written to the Minister of Works and Transport, in light of serious public concerns regarding the recently intensified implementation of the automated Electronic Penalty System (EPS) currently being enforced across the country. While the intention may have been rooted in promoting road safety and order, its current execution has raised widespread alarm among motorists and other road users. We are also concerned about the company which is implementing this program; 80% of the revenue from the fines will be taken by this private company (Joint Stock Company-Global Security), and only 20% will go to Government. Additionally, this company has no historical competence of doing this kind of work. Everything around this project is fishy, and we previously rejected it through a minority report, which was adopted by the whole house.

Below is a list of 72 MPs from the Opposition who signed a resolution condemning the clandestine giving of 100m to MPs from the Classified budget of State House. Signing this document is like taking an oath of allegiance. It is a public commitment of these members disassociating themselves from the 100m shs saga. If any of them signed yet they picked the money, it will certainly catch up with them. These signatures are also challenging those who gave out the money; if anyone signed yet they received your money, please expose them. I guess those who didn't sign fear that particular consequence. For those who are saying we should pick the money and use it for different projects in our Constituencies, please know that there should never be any justification for corruption. Theft is theft, regardless what you use the money for. And this money is a form of corruption, that is why it's being given out surreptitiously. #KeepingTheGovtInCheck
