Some Good Samaritans with the help of a @UEDCLTD staff whom I had called about the incident helped put out the fire. It was tense but we are safe now though without power.

@UEDCLTD there is a transformer up in smoke at #Kyanja trading center.

To be honest, most people who entered the job market in his era are now either in the grave or now enjoying quiet retirements, tending to their country homes, mentoring their grandchildren, or documenting the history they lived through. That’s the natural rhythm of a long career. But since that Mzee has chosen to stay in the newsroom trenches instead of the archives, and he’s still eager to square off in front of the cameras instead of resting with his memoirs, I respect his energy👌👌. Would think though that maybe he should probably have had this debate years ago with his age mates like the late Dr. Samson Kisekka, Ssenseko Kulubya, Mayanja Nkangi etc, it would have saved the Country a lot…but if he insists on having it with me now, I’m perfectly ready.
