Imagine starting a regime change war to end Iran’s nuclear & missile threat only to:
- Keep IRGC in power
- Give Iran control of Strait
- Unfreeze $20 BILLION in assets
- Allow Iran to keep ballistic missiles
- Allow Iran to keep uranium

@policytensor Political elite that rules Iran is largely reformist and they would NOT behave like this if they were in charge. Not to mention that entire purpose of IRGC is to protect the rule of the Islamic Government, they are not a regular army.

What is the evidence for the claim that IRGC is in charge? In wartime, a lot of authority passes on to the command authority. That does not mean that Iran has turned into an IRGC dictatorship. If anything, we’re looking at an Iranian Spring.
