Why does Trump prefer to honor Confederates? What’s the point of honoring them at all? The Confederacy lost the war. The south’s continued weekend reenactments, wearing wool in the GA summer, believing they’ll get a different outcome, are just nonsense.

A lot of the men clutching pearls over Cuomo's sexual misconduct seem fake to me. I'm not saying people shouldn't care. I'm saying, rather, that I think many men don't really care about sexual misconduct at all anymore. These guys dislike Cuomo for other reasons.

@BigMeanInternet @gonzoville_ Mainly because we ‘get’ that the most effective solution to virtually every issue American cities face is best handled through better understanding, communication, and cooperation. Posturing, arguing and fighting is just theater for the closed-minded.

I think a bigger part of left-wing anti-war messaging should be that we are not afraid of or hateful toward people in other countries.

It doesn’t take much work to put that together. It’s not a general statement, it’s a doubting of morals

@magi_jay So, I feel like sexual misconduct like his represents not only a fundamental moral failure, but a view of power that should not be rewarded with more power. It’s a specific form of cruelty that has no business being rewarded with elective office.
