@MangappsRly Err ... Brookfield is a Pannier Tank and not a Saddle Tank.

A real milestone was reached today in the overhaul of Bagnall "Brookfield" with the Saddle tanks and the cab re-fitted 👍.

@TLRailUK Are there plans to refurbish the interiors of the Class 379 Electrostar trains before they enter service with Great Northern? I note that both the carpets and seat moquette require replacing.

@JoanneMCrompton Was this at the Llangollen Railway? Have you been on their GWR 0-6-0PT 57xx Class steam loco?

Impromptu day on the footplate today, its absolutely wonderful to get reacquainted with 3802, such a wonderful machine. Thanks Chris Hill and Matt J for a brilliant day. Just what I needed!

@TodaysRailways @EastMidRailway I was the one who suggested that the Class 360 should have seating layout changed from 2+3 to 2+2 and that luggage stacks should be installed for airport passengers.

@DesirableDesiro @midland__london @EastMidRailway 180 are you sure you mean 180 - I thought they were spilt 50/50 between Grand Central and Hull Trains. Did you actually really mean 360?

@PeterSkuce @midland__london @EastMidRailway There’s plans for a 170 refurb, with hopes to make the 180s a more coherent fleet, with the possibility of new seats. The 158s are meant to be getting something too, though it’s expected that it won’t be as comprehensive.

Over 1,200 seats have now been refurbished on our Class 222 Intercity fleet. This £3 million project will see all of the standard class seat covers and padding on the entire Intercity fleet replaced. Read more here 👇 news.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/news/intercity…
