Maybe some day MAGA apologists will start paying attention to the news and discover which party actually starts wars. But probably not.

@Intrinsic29 I don't know. Some people want to make the button thing about rational choice. But "framing effects" are one of the well-known problems with pure rational choice models of human behavior.

Despite several days of blue/red button discourse, I haven't seen a single decent argument for why anyone should believe blue would actually win in reality. It's all just personal attacks against red-choosers.

I see a pattern here. Liberal lawyers chasing plaintiffs for anti-Trump causes. Ilya Somin wrote a blog post calling for plaintiffs willing to challenge Trump’s tariffs. Roberta Kaplan went to Charlottesville seeking plaintiffs to file a suit against the rally organizers.

As you realize the college sports you grew up with doesn’t exist anymore, it hits you that it may have all been a facade. The reason these teams below existed was largely to players being exploited with no ability to make money & punished for transferring. NIL introduced….cream rises to the top. In 2012 a guy who fell through the cracks in recruiting would spend 4 years at a mid major and develop there…not anymore. 80% of those players trickle up to make the major conference teams that were losing in 2008 better in 2026. College sports was prob better in 2010 but it was due to a model that unequivocally ripped off athletes. I am open to being wrong here, but the game has changed forever and what we watched years ago was fake.

Hey Bridge, Remember when US troops were killed by a suicide bomber during the Afghanistan evacuation? And you did an emergency podcast declaring that Biden was personally responsible for it? Any comment on current affairs? x.com/JimLaPorta/sta…

New from @CBSNews - on the 6 U.S. troops who died at Shuaiba port in Kuwait: no U.S. C-RAM. The incoming warning system would sound late. Some do not recall the siren prior to the deadly attack. Troops asked for more drone defeat capabilities, none came. It was recommended that the makeshift tactical operations center not be used because it was hard to defend and concentrated too many troops in one place. cbsnews.com/news/iran-stri…

@AliceFromQueens In 2020 an anti-Trump conservative going by DesertDave created a 64 person bracket to choose the biggest anti-anti-Trump account on twitter. Redsleeze made the final four. (Glen Greenwald was the champion, and I believe Miller lost to him in the final matchup.)

I’m curious, what’s your stance on the shooting of Alex Pretti and the current protests against ICE? Will go through the comments to get a sense of where you all stand. It’s been rough

@CalifNightmare @CathyYoung63 @baseballcrank The thing is, she backed up a bit when she saw the ICE guys getting in their cars. So she was only blocking one lane of traffic on a two-lane, one-way street. Not the whole road. You can see her waving cars by. A jury is not likely to put much weight on “impeding movement” cope.

@CathyYoung63 @baseballcrank Blocking roads alone is a provocation. Do not impede law enforcement's movements, especially when mobs are willing to attack them.

What Trump *should* do, and should have done from the start, is to enforce the law with more discretion & mercy. But what he cannot do is allow enforcement of the law to be defeated by street resistance. At that point, we're no longer a nation of laws at all.

@JauneBlack @8andido @ZachTGR She wasn't my first choice either. My point is she would very likely have won a primary easily. Conservatively, I'd guess 80 percent. My conscience is clear. I voted for the viable* candidate who'd have ended the genocide quicker than Trump. *Stein was not viable. Sorry.
