Still a lot of debris and logs on the sidewalks, cars, etc. where they left the cut up pieces. Feel free to use any photos on my account w/ credit if desired

Please pray for my neighbors and neighborhood, which was hit extremely hard by the storm yesterday. There are neighbors with no home or car to return to, and ones still in the hospital. This was truly devastating for our community

The streets do seem mostly reopen now, at least. Wood chippers and crews have been everywhere yesterday and today. Lots of logs and debris still, but at least you can get from A to B now. @PhilaOEM, @philly311, & @PhilaParkandRec have done great handling the down trees

Parts of West Philly still have no power. Peco has missed their estimates numerous times. Some of my neighbors sustained serious injuries and are still hospitalized. This was a massive storm, but it seems like nobody is talking about it anymore since it was so local 🙏

@SEPTA_SOCIAL Just some feedback: there is a serious problem with people refusing to give up reserved (or any) seat on the T trollies for visibly pregnant women, especially in the afternoons. I’m unsure what exactly could be done, but it makes riding septa much harder for them

Just remembered that people at the USMNT Watch party I went to yesterday did not boo when FIFA President Gianni Infantino was shown on the screen but they did boo very loudly for Gregg Berhalter, just there to watch his son play 😭😂

I was also confused by the Vatican saying they are invalid and not only illicit. It seems strange that matrimony requires ordinary authorization for validity, but ordination does not

@TomlinsonCJ No. The Vatican clarified this. SSPX confession & marriage are invalid. These two sacraments require authorization from a local ordinary (usually local bishop) for validly. The Orthodox were / had local ordinaries when going in schism while the SSPX have always lacked this.

Well, that’s it. It was a good run fellas. Brutal performance this match, but it happens… I’d say we met pre-bracket expectations, just didn’t exceed them. This hurts, but we’ll be back, and there’s plenty more World Cup to enjoy even if we’re out. VAMOS USA!

This is very obviously the case. DJT didn’t mention calling until way after it was reversed, and he didn’t even directly take credit for the reversal. It’s very common for him to place his name near everything that’s popular in the US. The outrage from euros is entirely misguided

Interesting point on the Balogun situation that’s gone unnoticed: Jenny Taft and now the NY Post are reporting that FIFA was already reviewing the red card (protocol?) before Trump made any calls, and that the USSF was threatening to go to CAS over the issue… Entirely possible that Trump swooped in and took credit at the last minute, certainly not out of the ordinary for him
