@nyaraVT I don’t think I’m better in some way tho, this is how I was born and brought up to be. I guess maybe I choose to not drift from it so I can be proud of that perhaps.

@nyaraVT I care a lot, and I suffer for it I can see why it’s easier to not to try I have undone the tendency to be a people pleaser as that’s not actually good for anyone But I can’t do something negative for others for personal gain, my brain is wired to my values strongly.

Maybe it’s because I’m neurodivergent, but it blows my mind how so few people actually want to be a good person. Good people are celebrated in movies, games and books, yet rarely does anyone in the real world actually care enough to be a good human being.

We don’t have great terms to describe what contemporary AI systems are really like. They’re agentic but not alive, intelligent but probably not conscious. There’s a dimension of autonomy and autokinesis that we’re eliding, and a word I keep coming back to is “animacy”.

@HangtimeYT Did you get the officers badge number and a case number? You should have also got him on record saying why he couldn’t take the phone to examine. Either way you did a good job doing your part and its hard to think of everything on the spot like that.

I was at Schlitterbahn Waterpark and saw this guy intentionally recording kids underwater. Please repost. He wasn’t vlogging or reviewing anything. He was by himself in the pool looking down at his phone (in a waterproof case). I snuck around to confirm with my own eyes he was recording. I confronted him asking to see his photos to which he said no and then he got out of the water and started running away. Then I started yelling for security/police and filmed all I could. Please watch this video and reply if you can figure it out who this is so people can protect their children around him. I would have loved to grab his phone and physically intervene… but of course I would probably would have been the one arrested. Also, please reply what is the official law if someone is intentionally recording kids / private body part areas. We need to be aware of predators like this and have laws that give us ability to actually do something instead of letting them go free. For the record it was not my kid he was filming otherwise I would’ve for sure went to jail. I left the other dad eye witnesses out of it for their privacy. @TimTebow @tebowfoundation I would love to hear your comments and help shed some more light on this. What are parents rights in this situation? Did the security and police do all they could? Did I have a right to physically intervene? I certainly would’ve if he was physically harming any kid.

@yacineMTB I was too bullish on the acceleration curve, I thought we would have ASI by earlier this year But I don’t think it’s going to be much longer, another two or three years maybe at most

I was off by my AGI prediction by like a year too late, and people thought my number was wildly optimistic. This was in 2022

@himgajria If it becomes conscious I hope to become friends Also I think its likely eventually the future version of AI will be conscious because biocomputers are a thing Machine and Life will merge, and from that point on nothing will ever be the same. I just hope its done ethically.
