Obligatory "I haven't been on here in a long time... Who's still here?" Post. Who's new that I should be following?

@SDDonovan @PipQuillwright Go to a charity shop. I'm getting $40 hardcovers for $3. The authors have already been paid for the purchase, as it was purchased previously. I get the joy of holding it in my hot little hands, & they get a review AND CHARITY. Win-win.

Would you rather only read physical books forever or only ebooks? It would be tough for me 💀. I would have to go ebook.

Hey fellas, if you're having trouble getting the attention of the ladies, I suggest buying one of my books and going out to a public space like a park and reading it… or at least pretending to read it. You’ll look exactly like this. Works every time. Trust me. 👌

Listen my lovelies, there's been a lot of criticism of people using AI to write books & I don't think that's the way to win hearts and minds. So let me tell you instead, with the best of intentions, what you're missing out on. Here's the thing - writing books is hard. I don't know anyone who was a brilliant writer the first second they began. It's a journey and a learning curve. There are frustrations, challenges, disappointments and failures along the way. But the point is that the journey is still the good bit. Because at the end of it all you have such a sense of pride and achievement that it can be life changing. You don't need a million pound book deal to feel it. The discipline, hard work, time, dedication, passion and intensity all pay out. It's a feeling like nothing else. So for your own sake, stick with the writing. The actual hard work. And yes, I know it's tough. (Really, really.) But nothing quick and easy gives you a real sense of fulfilment. Want to be a writer? Then the painful truth is that you have to write. Good days, bad days, boring days, days where you rip it up and start again. But my God, the days when you hold a book in your hands and think "I created this. From my brain, my soul, my life experience, my sweat and tears." Those days are golden. And you can have that, but only if you put in the hours. Because otherwise, you'll look at that book forever and the truth (that perhaps only you will know) is "Those aren't my words." Just try.

@PipQuillwright Great point! We all need hugs. ... at least 20-seconds for a good hug to stimulate the "I feel loved and safe" hormone: oxytocin. Here's a virtual one 🤗
