This guy is calling a hospital on behalf of a new mom who was charged $1,847,392 because her baby was premature and needed to stay alive long enough to come home. The itemized charges are dystopian. $37,464 for heel sticks on a premature infant, $58 every time a mother held her own baby skin-to-skin in the NICU, $312 for discharge teaching on how to sponge bathe a preemie and $27,590 for phototherapy lights. That’s before even getting into the NICU bed charges. Our medical system is one of the most corrupt, exploitative and evil rackets in the world.

@Sage2612 It's even worse in multi language countries like Belgium. We have 3 national languages, but you only know 1 really really one, depending on the region you live in. For me that's Dutch, most anime available on the streaming platforms only have a French license for Belgium...

'86: EIGHTY-SIX' Anime has been removed from Crunchyroll in multiple regions and also also reportedly be leaving Netflix in select regions soon. With 86: EIGHTY-SIX reaching its 5th anniversary around the same time, it’s very likely the anime was originally licensed internationally under a roughly 5-year agreement negotiated with the Japanese rights holders that is now beginning to expire. Unless those licenses are renewed, series can quietly disappear from streaming platforms with little to no warning for fans. This situation is exactly why so many anime fans have become increasingly frustrated with modern streaming services. Companies constantly encourage viewers to “watch anime legally” and support the industry, yet there’s never any guarantee that the shows you love will actually remain available on the platforms you’re paying for. One day a series is there, and the next it’s suddenly gone depending on your region. It also highlights one of the biggest problems with digital streaming: fans don’t truly own access to the content they support. Licensing restrictions, regional availability, and expiring contracts can remove beloved series at any moment, making it harder for both longtime fans and new viewers to legally watch acclaimed anime like 86.

@willia_mbrown @TeamYouTube This is genuinely puzzling to me. Teaching on camera about topics you have direct experience in seems like one of the safest forms of content. I’m not sure how this happens or how it gets avoided. William’s channel is genuinely valuable – I can speak to that firsthand.

NEW: CNN photojournalist put in a chokehold by Israeli soldiers before the entire CNN crew was detained in the West Bank. CNN says the crew was detained for two hours. The Israeli military has released the following statement to CNN: “The actions and behavior of the soldiers in the incident are incompatible with what is expected of IDF (Israel Defense Forces) soldiers operating in the Judea and Samaria area.” They also noted that the incident would be “thoroughly reviewed.” Source: @JDiamond1

🚨 Biggest historical archive on YouTube Destroyed 🚨 Why @TeamYouTube was my channel falsely flagged as “harmful content involving minors” and "Content related to sexual abuse" Why was my channel punishment so much higher? These claims are completely false. Why was my channel penalized so severely? Just a few months ago, I had to go through multiple steps to receive my creator award and verification checkmark, I was denied and after a human review, I finally got my reward. Now I can’t seem to get any help at all. What is the purpose of recognizing creators if their channels can be taken down shortly afterward without proper review? I am formally requesting a human review of my channel. My videos do not violate YouTube’s guidelines. #YouTubeCreators #ReinstateAllChannels

Do you remember when paramedics drove to rescue injured paramedics in Palestine, but the israeli army opened fire on them, executed them, and then tried to hide their bodies? We live in the smart phone era, where videos can be uploaded to the internet. And if it wasn’t for this video, nobody would even know that this ever happened. Never forget, never forgive. Repost this.

These are domestic sheep." Activist: "You bred them to need shearing." Farmer: "Humans have been breeding them for 10,000 years. That's what domestic means." Activist: "It's still exploitation." Farmer: "They get relieved of 10 pounds of wool, we get wool. Seems fair." Activist: "They can't consent." Farmer: "They also can't shear themselves." Activist: "You should let them be natural." Farmer: "Natural sheep died out 8,000 years ago." Activist: "Exactly. Because of farming." Farmer: "No, because we domesticated them and they became these sheep." As many of you know, a youth judo tournament in Bielsko-Biała, Poland, became the latest flashpoint in the dangerous trend of moral accusations outrunning evidence. An Israeli delegation of children and teenagers, ages as young as seven traveled to compete in an international event that drew young athletes from 15 countries. What should have been a celebration of sport and mutual respect instead turned into bitter claims of antisemitic harassment emanating from the stands and the crowd. Word spread rapidly that Israeli judokas were subjected to hate speech and physical attack. The Embassy of Israel in Warsaw issued a strongly worded statement on X, saying the team had been “attacked verbally and physically” with no place for such conduct at a sporting event. But the assertions did not withstand independent scrutiny. Local reporting and official statements paint a different picture. Organizers and witnesses describe the core confrontation not as a crowd-driven hate incident but as an altercation between an Israeli coach assaulting a referee, triggered by disagreement over a ruling on the mat; a conflict that escalated physically, resulting in the coach’s team being disqualified from competition. Poles on site, including tournament organizers and the local police, reported no evidence of antisemitic chants or violence against young athletes; the police noted no formal complaints were filed. This divergence between narrative and verified facts is not a trivial detail, it is emblematic of a broader phenomenon where high-impact moral language is used before evidence is verified. The word antisemitism carries the weight of centuries of persecution, culminating in genocide. That weight makes it necessary to treat accusations with extraordinary care. When such claims are amplified prematurely or falsely, they do not just mischaracterize an incident, they erode trust and harm the very cause they purport to defend. You can no longer blame every wrong that happens to you as antisemitism - this is a cop-out and a way for one, to avoid accountability and, two, play the victim. False moral charges are not without consequence. They cast innocent hosts as villains and turn routine disputes into international controversies. They make communities like Poles, a people with a long and painful history of both victimhood and complex wartime experience vulnerable to stereotype and suspicion. They create a climate in which genuine instances of hate become harder to distinguish from exaggeration or misinterpretation. Worse, they divert attention and emotional energy away from real antisemitic acts and genuine victims of hatred. When the fog of exaggerated accusation obscures the truth, those who suffer true discrimination are left shouting into a marketplace of skepticism. There is a lesson here that transcends national identity or sport. Vigilance against hatred, in all its forms requires not only moral passion but discipline of inquiry. The stakes are too high for anything less. False accusations weaken solidarity, embolden cynics, and ultimately do a disservice to those who truly need protection. In this incident, as in many before it, the rush to judgment created an international moral crisis where the evidence suggested a local sporting dispute. That should prompt reflection, not defensiveness, about how we use language of profound moral gravity, and how we can ensure it remains a force for justice, not division. This shows us once again how false antisemitism is weaponized against the innocent. Let’s all stand against this injustice. And, yes this is just another reminder that some Jews, carry deep hostility toward Poles and project it through sweeping accusations that collapse history into propaganda. Perhaps Jewish hatred of Poles is much deeper than the other way around.

Update: So I went to my ENT appointment today, and honestly the doctor that saw me was a total clown. Guy was so obviously trying to rush me in and out as fast as possible, very frustrating. He looked at my vocal chords through a little device and said "Yeah you're probably developing early vocal chord nodules" and then proceeded to tell me that I need speech therapy to learn proper speaking technique so as to not strain my voice when speaking for long periods. I asked the doctor if there's anything I can do in the immediate to help remedy the pain in my throat, he chuckles and then repeats "speech therapy" like the question I asked was stupid or something. Actual joke of a doctor, complete tool. Pros: - I don't need extended vocal rest, so no need to take a break from streaming - It's early so thankfully not very far along or too bad Cons: - My throat still hurts and my voice feels very weak with no immediate way to remedy it - I need to do speech therapy for 6 to 8 weeks and hope it gets better - The doctor I saw seemed pretty incompetent so I have little faith that anything he told me was very accurate
DistantCoder@DistantCoder

life update. For the last year or so I’ve been having problems with losin/straining my voice often. It’s only gotten worse over the last year and is now at a point where my throat is constantly in pain and feels like I have a painful lump in my throat. I have been waiting for a while to get an appointment with an ENT (ear nose & throat doctor) and thankfully I got an appointment tomorrow morning, but i’m really nervous about it. My family doctor says it’s most likely Vocal Chord Nodules, which is something akin to having blisters on your vocal chords from exdended misuse of your voice. Effectively, all these years of streaming have strained my throat really badly and hopefully the ENT will be able to figure out how to solve the issue. The really scary part for me is that, if it is Vocal Nodes, the “fix” is to take an extended vocal rest, 4 to 12 weeks according to google, and as a content creator i’m terrified of needing to take that much time off. It’s not guaranteed that’s what it is nor that I’ll need to do a long vocal rest, but the possibility of it is stressing me out. I just wanted to put this out there before my appointment because I’m feeling stressed about it and kinda wanted to clear my head somewhere, just keep me in your thoughts tomorrow and hope for the best for me, I’m worried and a little scared cuz doctors freak me out, but if it’llcfix the problem then we have to do it. Thank you everyone for the suppot as always, I love you guys and i’ll keep you posted tomorrow ❤️
