Despite his age and health issues, he brings joy and comfort to the officers and visitors at the station. Lil’ Craig has become a beloved member of the police team, providing companionship and stress relief to the officers. The Milford Police Department supports animal rescue efforts by partnering with the Puppies Behind Bars nonprofit program, which trains incarcerated individuals to raise service dogs for various purposes, including facility dogs for police departments. This initiative not only helps provide trained dogs like Alamo to the department but also promotes rehabilitation and community service among the participants.
