โš ๏ธ 8 years in finance nearly destroyed my confidence - and I'm thankful for it. My journey began when I realised that my voice had become a victim of the stories I was conditioned to believe. With a history of working in high-pressure environments, I developed deep feelings of self-doubt, rejection, and insecurities about my identity and purpose. After 8 years of working in multiple disciplinary roles in the Finance Industry, my confidence had taken a beating. With a desire to connect deeper with people and re-write the stories I told myself, I needed to understand myself first so that others could understand me. I set off on a path that levelled me up in ways I could never have imagined, and so, I did away with the old me. I engaged in numerous personal development and mentorship programs, facilitated in-person and digital workshops, and took a keen interest in mastering the art of public speaking. And like magicโ€ฆ Player One Start was born. I was finally equipped with an extensive inventory of tools, experiences and knowledge to satisfy my calling to guide and teach others. Today, my students have learned how to transform their speaking habits, develop self-awareness, have the confidence to take up space, have difficult conversations without compromising their own beliefs, and so much more. Player One Start offers a judgement-free, supportive, and gamified learning experience that sets the scene for individuals to get comfortable with being the main character in their game of life. Our mission is to rewrite your story and embark on a strategic quest requiring you to face whatever is holding you back, shape your weaknesses into your strengths, and develop presence, authenticity, and authority. Together, we will set out your objectives so that you can wield the power of your voice. Are you ready to download your upgrades with me? Comment "Start Now" to unlock your experience and I will DM you for more details.

I came to @surgence_io curious, unsure, and willing to learn, and what I discovered changed everything. ย  Late nights in Discord. Early morning sessions. Watching how small decisions quietly shaped momentum. ย  I started noticing patterns most people missed. What worked. What didnโ€™t. And why some communities movedโ€ฆ while others stalled. ย  Growth stopped feeling random. Community stopped being noise. Everything became intentional. ย  This is the story on my journey through Surgence for the past 3 years. ย  When I first joined Surgence, I didnโ€™t have all the answers, I was just looking for a community I can trust, connect and build and get more opportunities to earn more money. What I had was curiosity, consistency, and the willingness to show up every day even when no one was watching. Back then my role was simple; grind, grind and grind nonstop just to be spotted by the team. I remembered engaging, joining training sessions, events, challenges and everything Surgence was doing for the community exclusively. And you guessed it right!, ย yes the effort ย paid, I started getting noticed by the community members and the team, that lead me to learning new skills, getting new friends, securing more deals and improving my portfolio. Over time, Surgence stopped feeling like โ€œa place I joined to grind.โ€ It became a second home to me, a training ground and a place I can secure Jobs easier and faster than other communities or just relying on myself. I learned and saw how each and every job sector in web3 works. Starting as a moderator and beta tester, I learned that there is more to web3 than that, I then transitioned into Community management where I saw massive improvements both in my skills and portfolio. Seeing how efficient and efficient Surgence were at marketing that inspired me to now start a journey of being the best marketer I can, still learning and open to more marketing opportunities. I learned that growth isnโ€™t noise it is Structure, Virality isnโ€™t luck but timing, culture and psychology. ย  Today when I look back, I donโ€™t measure my Surgence journey by titles or timelines. I measure it by how I think, build and ย deliver value. Surgence didnโ€™t just give me skills and opportunities, it gave me standards. My advice to you reading this is that when you show up everyday in the right environment, growth stops being a goal it becomes inevitable. And that is why my friend you should never give up. With Surgence Labs cooking hard 2026 I am prepared than ever to see what they have for us, work and achieve greater heights with them and if I were you I will keep a closer eye on them because right now the most anticipated thing they are working on is the Surgence Creators Den and you might not want to miss what opportunities are going to come to the chosen ones. 2026 is for us SUGMI.

i love this article man @leonabboud but i have something against in one point i think niche hopping is okay, especially if the person still can't find the drive to double down and be obsessed on the niche he picked. i hopped from a Software QA Engr > Discord moderator > Community Manager And now doing Ghostwriting and GTM this is from 2021 -> 2026, all these niches brought good money. > Discord moderator: $800-2k/month depends on the project > Community management: $1200-3k/month depends on the project > Software QA Engr $2500-4k/month > SMM - $2500-4500 > Ghostwriting - my based is $2500 (this changed depends on the need of the client) > GTM - $ X,XXX imagine if i stayed as a Discord moderator, there are 20k+ moderators out there who can do the same job. competition is high so I have to upgrade and upskill, I became a Community manager but there are thousands of CM too, then I learned new skills and kept learning and upskilling. the thing is, hopping from different niche is okay, until you find the right one and you have to stay on it and be obsessed on that niche and be the top 1%, no be the top 0.1% on that niche! eg. Leon is definitely in top 0.1% in web3 marketing niche, why? Because I myself is learning a lot from his youtube content. what worked for me might not work for other people but this article written by Leon is definitely the playbook for founders and creators.

If you had 4 weeks to prepare for a company presentation in front of 120+ peopleโ€ฆ What would you do? Thatโ€™s exactly what happened to Dan, a client of mine. But before I share his story, weโ€™re approaching the end of 2025. Some of you might already be on a well-deserved break, enjoying the festive season. Others are still pushing through work, hats off to you. As for me, this time of year is always one of reflection. Looking back at the (almost) two years Iโ€™ve spent building my business, Player One Start, Iโ€™ve learned so much about myself, and Iโ€™ve been stretched far outside my comfort zone. From developing a recruitment training course and training consultants at @Coreteam_Group , to pivoting nine months later into what I was truly passionate about: coaching people to elevate their communication skills and build unshakable confidence. I was a different person back then, from being made redundant to becoming the business owner I am today. And Danโ€™s journey reminds me why I do what I do. Dan came to me with a clear goal: prepare for a company speech in front of over 120 people. His presentation needed to both showcase the company's achievements and express appreciation to shareholders. We didnโ€™t have much time. I told Dan weโ€™d need to start immediately if we wanted him ready before the big night. Our coaching sessions pushed him beyond his limits but they were also fun. I mixed my love of movies with the gamified style of my coaching to make each session immersive and practical. What is one of my favourite moments from our sessions? It's Dan standing in his living room shouting, โ€œTHIS IS SPARTA!โ€ (Yes, seriously.) We used variations of that scene to help him control volume, projection, and presence. Week by week, I saw Danโ€™s confidence grow. The way he stood, the way he spoke, he was evolving. Then, the big night arrived. I was honoured to be invited to watch him speak at Enterprise Architectural's event. When Dan stepped onto the stage, the entire room went silent, you could hear a pin drop. Over 120 people, all waiting to hear what he had to say... And what happened next? Well, I wonโ€™t spoil it. Youโ€™ll have to watch the video until the end. ๐Ÿ‘‡ Let me know in the comments what you thought of Danโ€™s journey. If youโ€™re ready to level up your communication and confidence heading into 2026, comment โ€œ2026โ€ below and weโ€™ll start the conversation.

@Playerone_start I was like that in the past too. Always believed everyone to be "introverted". But it's just always a choice whether you want to gain confidence. A lot of people struggle with that. Keep doing what you're doing.

โ€œI used to sit in meetings with something to sayโ€ฆ and still said nothing.โ€ If that sounds familiar, youโ€™re not alone. Iโ€™ve been thereโ€”and now I help others break that silence. Helping You Speak with Confidence, Influence, and Presence. For years, I held backโ€”questioning if my voice carried any real weight in the room. I knew I had ideas worth sharing, but self-doubt and hesitation always seemed to get in the way. Sound familiar? That all changed when I learned how to own my voice, command attention, and speak with confidence. Now, I help others do the same. With over 15 years of experience in finance, coaching, and leadership, Iโ€™ve seen firsthand how powerful communication can transform careers, businesses, and personal growth. Thatโ€™s why I founded Player One Startโ€”a gamified coaching experience designed to help professionals, entrepreneurs, and teams speak with clarity, own their presence, and navigate high-stakes conversations with confidence. What I Do: ๐ŸŽค Public Speaking & Executive Presence โ€“ Speak with confidence and authority. ๐ŸŽค Leadership & Business Communication โ€“ Master Influence and Persuasion. ๐ŸŽค Handling tough conversations โ€“ Navigate objections, feedback, and negotiations. ๐ŸŽค Overcoming self-doubt โ€“ Rewire your mindset and own the room. The difference? I donโ€™t do boring lectures. My approach is hands-on, interactive, and practicalโ€”designed to give you real-world tools that you can apply immediately. Whether itโ€™s 1-on-1 coaching, corporate training, or masterclasses, my goal is simple: to help you unlock your voice, build unshakable confidence, and rewrite your story. ๐Ÿ“ฉ Letโ€™s connectโ€”DM me if youโ€™re ready to level up your communication!

The Secret to making a Strong First Impression in Any Meeting Want to Make a Stronger First Impression? Hereโ€™s How to Own the Room (Virtual or In-Person). First impressions happen FASTโ€”sometimes in just 7 seconds. ๐Ÿ”ธ People decide if they trust you. ๐Ÿ”ธ People decide if they respect you. ๐Ÿ”ธ People decide if theyโ€™ll listen to you. You canโ€™t control everythingโ€”but you CAN control your presence. Why First Impressions Matter โœ… People form snap judgmentsโ€”and they tend to stick. โœ… A confident start builds credibility instantly. โœ… Being intentional sets you apart from the crowd. You donโ€™t get a second chance at a first impression. Step 1 โ€“ Start with a Confident Posture Whether in-person or on camera: ๐Ÿ”น Sit or stand tall. ๐Ÿ”น Shoulders relaxed. ๐Ÿ”น Chin parallel to the ground. Why it works: Instantly signals confidence and openness. People subconsciously mirror your energy. Step 2 โ€“ Lead with a Clear, Strong Introduction Own your intro. Speak clearly and naturally. Example: "Hi, Iโ€™m [Your Name]. I specialize in [Your Value]. Excited to collaborate today!" Why it works: Frames you as capable and confident. Takes control of how youโ€™re perceived. Step 3 โ€“ Make Eye Contact (Even on Zoom) In-person: Look at the speaker, not at your notes. Virtual: Look into the webcam, not your own image. Why it works: Builds instant connection and trust. Shows youโ€™re fully present and engaged. Quick Tip: Smile (Genuinely) People trust those who make them feel at ease. ๐Ÿ”นSmile when introducing yourself. ๐Ÿ”นSmile when listening. ๐Ÿ”นSmile when agreeing. ๐ŸŽฏ Itโ€™s one of the simplest ways to be memorable and approachable. Recap & Empowerment Quick Recap: How to Make a Strong First Impression โœ… Stand tall with confident posture. โœ… Lead with a clear introduction. โœ… Make eye contact (yes, even online!). โœ… Smile and show genuine warmth. Which tip will you use first in your next meeting? Comment below! ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐ŸฉทLike and๐Ÿ”„Share this with someone whoโ€™s leveling up their leadership! #FirstImpressionsMatter #OwnTheRoom #SpeakWithConfidence #LeadershipDevelopment #PublicSpeakingTips #CommunicationSkills #PresenceAndPower #ExecutivePresence #ConfidenceCoach #BodyLanguageSecrets
