Federalism concern: Imposing a capital via central law violates the basic structure, turning a State into a centrally steered unit. 4. Arbitrariness: Why Amaravati? What objective criteria or consultative process behind this choice? 5. No precedent: Reorganisation laws have never legislated capitals, they leave it to States. 6. Legal uncertainty: If challenged and struck down, it creates institutional instability around governance. @NareshAA117377 @VSReddy_MP @ncbn if the same state assembly later rejects it ? what happens then? legally a state can change the capital as it wishes this completely comes under states power. A bill in parliament doesn't stand in the way for future governments to change the capital.

@VSReddy_MP @ncbn Your first point is invalid, the bill was championed by Assembly Teermanam on behalf of the state,not forced upon it by the center. The state itself decided on Amaravati as the capital, a decision supp by the YSRCP at the time. You can't change your stance solely for convenience
