People can debate immigration policy all day long, but surely most of us agree on one thing: If you want to stand for public office in Britain and ask the public for power, HONESTY matters. Because ordinary people are struggling enough already without feeling like politicians are carefully crafting emotional backstories to win support. Why are standards in public life now so low that someone can allegedly misrepresent huge parts of their background and still expect the public’s trust and hold public office. His make believe sob story should be reason to kick him out of office let alone he’s over here on a visa as well and shouldn’t have been allowed to run in the first place.
