@JustWanaBS It’s a tired/lazy narrative. The real narrative is this team over-performed their talent level for 5+ years. Had sufficient talent starting 3 year ago to win it all with puck luck/hot goalie (needed regardless). Instead they had injuries or poor/avg goaltending. Matter of time.

I desire a new angle because this “game breaker” thing is so tired. A game breaker isn’t fixing a 5 goal meltdown in the 3rd period of game 3. Aho stepped up in game 5 and scored 2 first period goals to build a lead before they blew it. A game breaker isn’t fixing mental mistakes this team makes late in the playoffs. They get snowballed easily and it’s a mental issue. There’s enough skill on the team to win it all.

@Rothmus Car costed roughly 1500 to manufacture, the costs before putting in that block would be 750,000,000 add that 13 dollar block would only cost 6.5 million more, a fraction of what the cars costed to produce.

Just learning that Carolina offered a 3 year contract valued at an estimated AAV of 12M for Artemi Panarin. Brind’amour and Panarin had conversations about fitting into the system, and that wasn’t an issue. The city of Raleigh was the breaking point for Panarin and his family.

@FutureCanes Nikishin’s play/mistakes have not moved the needle and he’s 24 years old - let’s remember his upside is lower than a true 20 year old rookie. Ron can develop defensemen for cheap. I’d easily trade him for a tier 1 center that WILL move the needle.

I know Nikishin trade talk is a sensitive subject but if that’s what it takes to get Robert Thomas, i’m thinking very hard about it. The argument can’t be “I’m not trading Niki for a 2C”. Thomas is a legit 1C that would be deployed as our 2C. Huge difference.
