I’m saying there are other factors not tied to FG% that impact the game & sometimes reflects on +/-. Just stop because you can’t argue against that.

@wbbmayer +/- always better in larger sample sizes used for comparing multiple player combinations on the same team.
2024 Fever had a rough start/adjustment period (1-8) hence the poor +/-. Reese started better, Clark better towards & post-Olympic break as Fever start to figure it out.

Stats without context do not reflect things like extra defensive attention, causing defensive imbalance, etc. Also, FG% doesn’t show playmaking, free throws and other facets of the game.

I went back and watched the two plays in question.
Caitlin Clark definitely should have had 10 assists.
That's a little weird.
And yes everyone should be a bit concerned that the WNBA doesn't know how to track its own stats.

Because Mitchell is a one trick pony that anti Clark haters claim is the best player on the team. Just a comical opinion. The thing Mitchell does best and really the only thing she contributes is scoring and Clark averages more points. How do you go two full games without a rebound or assist? That awful and really demonstrates the difference in the two player. Anyone who isn’t bias or just hating knows Clark is a much better all around basketball player. It’s not really close either.
