@abierkhatib The shopkeeper was clearly in the wrong. I hope the would-be customers file a civil rights complaint and sue the shopkeeper in civil court. Based on the video evidence, they will likely win. This type of abuse shouldn't be tolerated in a just society.

Remember the post-2016 DNC unity commission? The party did a whole ass commission, taking away from the focus on Trump, so they could placate a small group of people. They basically got all of the reforms they wanted, which were designed to help Bernie win elections (low turnout caucuses were actually good!) and even with that, it got the party absolutely nothing. No good will. Nothing. When the next cycle came up and Bernie lost (because he arrogantly tried to win with 30% of the party) despite being the only campaign that got the rules tailored to them, they still cried RIGGED. Just a total waste of time.

Such an extraordinary and extreme solution would be politically difficult to the point of near-impossibility, and it would lead to conservative backlash.

It would require, at a minimum, either: 1) A constitutional convention to repeal and replace the 1st Amendment; or 2) a) removing and replacing...🔽

@BAYC5511 @grahamformaine In 2002, Congress attempted to regulate money in political campaigns by enacting a federal law (McCain-Feingold Act) but a group called Citizens United sued FEC and the Supreme Court ruled ANY LEGISLATION restricting corporate expenditures in politics is unconstitutional, per se.

If you want justice for ICE victims, it should be your goal to elect Democratic majorities, too.
