@News24 All efforts should be welcomed, but honestly, cameras will lead to more crime shows.

Wait.. WHAT?!? Invented in South Africa???? Next you're going to tell me South Africa independently developed uranium enrichment and built multiple nuclear weapons, which they subsequently all dismantled and destroyed....

The Scheffel bogie, invented in South Africa, first went into service in a fleet of South African Railway ore wagons in 1975. It was used to set the world narrow gauge high speed record of 245 kilometres per hour on Cape gauge tracks.

@BusInsiderSSA @SimplyMegszcpt But what about Gwede Mantashe’s statement on SA’s good Iranian relations being the reason SA has enough oil? Does the minister know what is going on in the real world?

South Africa is increasing fuel imports from the US due to disruptions and higher costs in Middle Eastern supply routes. This marks a significant shift from South Africa's traditional reliance on Gulf suppliers such as Saudi Arabia, Oman, and the UAE. Recent shipping data shows several US tankers delivering around 165,000 tons of refined fuel to Durban this month. Industry experts warn that even if geopolitical tensions in the Middle East ease, fuel trade flows may not quickly return to previous patterns.

Mahikeng is in mourning after a deadly armed robbery at Totobola Butchery claimed the lives of its owners, Sergio “Search” Gomes and his wife, Marlene “Ma-Totobola” Gomes. Six masked suspects stormed the busy butchery, robbing customers and staff before forcing the couple to their nearby home in an attempt to access a safe. During the ordeal, shots were fired. Marlene Gomes died at the scene, while Sergio Gomes was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. No arrests have been made. SAPS has opened cases of robbery with aggravating circumstances and murder, and is appealing to the public for information. The Gomes family, long-time operators of the well-known business, are being remembered by the community, with customers, staff and residents left shocked and devastated.

Dr. Naledi Pandor says when President Zuma appointed her as the Minister of Home Affairs, it was the hardest department in her political life. This is because of the corruption she found in there whereby our very own public servants were selling ID and visa documents. Now connect the dots with the revelations of Gen. Mkhwanazi and ask yourself how organised crime has been finding expression in our country.
