30 years ago, over 8,000 Bosniak men and boys were murdered in the Srebrenica genocide. Today, politicians will say "never again". But they are letting it happen, again, in Gaza. We remember all victims of genocide, and vow to build a world that respects the humanity of all.

This government made a political choice to make life harder for the sick and disabled. Well done to those MPs who had the courage to speak up for the marginalised and put their constituents first. That is what it means to serve the people.

@loulou12395997 @AngelaRayner I had to fact check this, it sounded like satire albeit in very bad taste. But no, it is of course, a pronouncement from a Labour minister …… par for the course these days.

No one battling terminal illness should have to face extra stress and worry over their job security. It's vital that employees with a terminal diagnosis are treated sensitively and with the best support – that’s why I’m so proud we are backing this charter. #DyingToWork

Trump's visit to the G7 meeting went as expected. He was laughed at by other world leaders. Trump is not only a disgrace, he is an international embarrassment. 😳👇

@YinYang18175500 @maddenifico Your interpretation. I don't see that at all. She's listening to him quite carefully---not something you do when you hate someone---and her eye roll is too something he said, not to him. And his name is Macron, not Marcon. Hard to take you seriously when you misspell that twice.

I am not sure the prime minister’s partial U-turn on abolition of universal entitlement to the winter fuel allowance is the cleverest political action he will ever take. Today at PMQs, he has in effect conceded the charge made against him and the chancellor from both left and right that he caused excessive hardship to vulnerable pensioners. But he won’t say what the new income threshold will be to receive the £200 payment, because he says that will be decided and announced at what he calls a “fiscal event” - which could be the spending review of ministerial resources on 11 June (if that is a proper fiscal event - which I doubt) or the autumn budget. In the meantime he may suffer the worst of all political consequences: first, there will be distracting and relentless speculation about how many pensioners on higher incomes will be granted the allowance; second, there will be distracting speculation about the new mechanism for delivering the re-worked allowance (will it be like child benefit, namely a universal entitlement that is paid back by those on higher incomes?); third, the charge will be repeated for months that he has been forced into an admission that he made a mistake, while being unable to put the u-turn humiliation behind him precisely because we won’t know how generous the new system will be for some time yet. And another thing. This is a government that insists its philosophy is to make tough decisions for long term gain. That is less credible than it was from a PM and chancellor who appear to have executed a panicked policy reversal in the wake of their party’s recent dreadful local and by-election results. For a party with such a huge Commons majority and with more than four years left in office, that looks a bit wobbly, to put it mildly.

This is not about looking tough against your own MPs. Starmer is acting tough in taking away money from some of the most vulnerable in society, disabled people, the poor, the sick. thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

Previously, when asked whether Israel had the right to cut off food and water to people living in Gaza, Starmer said, "Yes, Israel does have that right". Any condemnation now is always going to ring hollow. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@Acyn The denial of reality is, frankly, insane. Trump is a coward. He got scared and ran away. Same as he did with Canada. Same as he did with Mexico. I assume plenty of his buddies bought the dip while he cheated at golf — The art of the steal.
