Ashamed of the two opposition parties in #Odisha Two days back the Cabinet decided to increase the stamp duty for registration of low value flats, which will directly impact affordability of the affordable housing schemes. Both @bjd_odisha and @INCOdisha are clueless @Naveen_Odisha @BhaktaCharanDas about the development. @narendramodi @RahulGandhi A pro poor government should charge 1% as the stamp duty for apartments costing less than 45 lakhs. Instead of that @MohanMOdisha govt. has increased it from 3% to 5%. Rather the government should abolish the practice of "no-registration" of apartments in the land owners share in a real estate project. Under which law those land owners share apartments are (1)not being registered? (2)no stamp duty is collected? @sureshkpujari Remember about 20% of the entire apartments constructed in Odisha are land owners share which never get registered, thus the Government loses HUGE revenue. @arvindpadhee @ushapadhee1996 @_anugarg

NOTE: in another case in the Supreme Court (Cont(C) 595/2025, Bimalendu Pradhan vs State of Odisha) in which Meerut, UP matter was tagged after intervention application, 14000 shops in 860 residential housed have already been sealed/demolished in the Central Market, Meerut due to violation of setback rules as well as commercial activities in Residential properties and unauthorised constructions.
