A historic opportunity to strengthen women’s representation in India’s legislatures has been deliberately blocked by the opposition. The opposition’s stance makes it clear that they lack the intent to support transformative reforms that strengthen Bharat’s democracy and empower women. By refusing to back the Women’s Reservation Bill, they have once again placed political calculations above national progress, delaying a long-overdue step toward inclusive governance and gender justice. Supporting this landmark reform would have demonstrated a collective commitment to empowering women and deepening democratic values. As an NDA ally, the @JanaSenaParty firmly welcomes and appreciates the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji in bringing this significant bill before Parliament. Had it been passed, it would have marked a defining moment of pride and progress for millions of women across the country. We remain confident that, in the days ahead, women will secure their rightful and strengthened place in India’s legislative institutions. @PMOIndia @AndhraPradeshCM

Today will be remembered forever as a Red-letter Day in Indian History, when under the leadership of Shri @RahulGandhi Ji, Leader of Opposition, Lok Sabha, and Shri Mallikarjun @kharge Ji, united all democratic forces and opposition leaders in adverting a national disaster. I thank leaders of various allied parties who united and stood steadfast under fire to defeat these black bills, including Thiru MK Stalin garu, Ms Mamata Banerjee Ji, Shri Akhilesh Yadav ji, Shri Sharad Pawar ji, Shri Uddhav Thackeray Ji , Shri Lalu Prasad Yadav ji, Shri Hemant Soren ji, Shri Farooq Abdullah Ji, Shri Naveen Patnaik ji, Shri Arvind Kejriwal ji, and the leaders of the Communist parties, among others. Jai Hind! #Delimitation

By blocking the Women’s Reservation Bill, the Congress-led opposition has denied India a historic step toward women’s empowerment. This is not just political obstruction, it is a betrayal of millions of women who deserve equal voice and rightful representation in Parliament. The nation will remember.

महिला आरक्षण बिल के पास होने के इंतजार में ☺️

April 17 will be remembered as a shameful day in Indian democracy. A BLACK DAY for every mother, sister, and daughter of this nation. Today, the masks of the Congress and their INDIA alliance partners have fallen. By snatching away the 33% reservation, these parties have committed a political sin against every mother and sister of this nation. It is disgusting that after crushing the rights of women, they had the guts to celebrate and shout slogans inside Parliament. This is not just an insult; it is a betrayal of Nari Shakti. Today, the hopes of crores of women were attacked. They hurt the dignity of #NariShakti . The history of Congress is a history of betrayal: • 1996: They failed our women. • 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003: NDA under Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji brought the bill repeatedly. Congress blocked it repeatedly. • 2010: They buried it before it could reach the Lok Sabha. • 2023: PM Modi ji’s government passed the Women’s Reservation Bill. With a clear majority, Congress had no option but to support it, a pro forma endorsement when obstruction was no longer possible. • 2026: Now, when implementation is near, they have struck again to stop women from entering the halls of power in 2029. This is their reality: They use women for votes, but deny them power. They talk big in speeches but strike with an axe when it matters. Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji and Hon’ble Home Minister Shri @AmitShah ji had clearly answered every false fear being spread by the opposition. They assured the nation that no state would face injustice. No region would be harmed. Yet the opposition chose lies over truth. To every sister in this country: Remember these faces. When they come to your door asking for votes, ask them one thing: “Why did you celebrate after snatching away our rights?” Defeat them like they defeated your bill.

If you are following the TCS Nashik controversy, pause for a moment. A 26-year-old pregnant woman, Nida Khan, was turned into the face of a national outrage within hours. Called a “mastermind.” Some branded her terrorist, absconding. Projected as an “HR head.” Dragged into wild conspiracy theories. Now reports suggest she wasn’t even in HR, wasn’t absconding, and hadn’t worked in the Nashik office for months. So what was this? An investigation… or a full-blown media trial? A workplace complaint became “Corporate Jihad.” Rumours became headlines. And a woman’s life became collateral damage. If she is guilty, let the law punish her. But if she is not -who takes responsibility for this public lynching? This is not journalism. This is narrative manufacturing. @TCS @nashikpolice @DGPMaharashtra @NCWIndia @PressCouncil_IN @MIB_India
