As the government shutdown stretches on and TSA workers approach more than a month without pay, Tyler Perry reportedly showed up at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport prepared to help in a major way.
Sources say he intended to hand out a significant amount of money to ease some of the financial pressure officers and their families are facing. Because of federal restrictions, TSA agents were unable to accept the funds directly.
Still, Perry stayed. He spoke with workers. He thanked them for continuing to show up without a paycheck.
When bills don’t pause but paychecks do, moments like this matters most.
