Well, if you really want to set the record straight historically, you’d have to go back to the 1950s when the United States CIA used a coup to overthrow the democratically elected government in Iran. It was all over control of the oil. We started it and look where it’s gotten us.

@RepLuna I am not a fan of Sen Graham, and feel the sooner he retires the better. However, I think your characterization of him in this instance is incorrect. Also, this is not Iwo Jima, and this is not a World War, it is an armed event to end an agression started nearly 50 years ago.

I am deeply upset at the lack of respect for life Senator Lindsey Graham is displaying when talking about our troops. He is acting as if they are expendable cattle. This is unacceptable and dark. There were over 26,000 American casualties at Iwo Jima.

Not exactly sure. the Muslim presence in the fire department is growing and active:  Dozens of Muslim firefighters and EMS workers gather regularly for events, such as Ramadan iftars at the Brooklyn headquarters. The FDNY Islamic Society exists to support Muslim personnel within the department. Muslim FDNY personnel have previously worked with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-NY) to demand official recognition, such as the appointment of a Muslim chaplain.
