I chatted to a fellow EV owner earlier today who charging his @BMW iX on a @Tesla Supercharger. Opposite were a bank of 'other' chargers that I was using. Sadly our MG's don't work with Tesla without a software update. To fill his iX it cost him £32 and gave him about 240 miles range. Not bad for a big bus. If he had used the 'other' units, he'd have paid £63 for the same distance. Well done Tesla for keeping it real and for opening up the network further to allow other EV owners to travel at a realistic cost. 🙏👍

My son is thinking of going EV and is keen on Polestar 2 (22 or 23 year). Seems lovely but anyone have any comment on possible issues going forward with servicing/repairs now that Volvo has seemingly distanced itself from the brand? @KateFantom @MusingsEv @evmanuk @tillathenun

@ProfPalindrome @KateFantom @MusingsEv @evmanuk @tillathenun I have a Polestar 2 DM PPP. I love it. Just drove 100 miles and charged for 15 mins and that’s all I need. A drive tomorrow, some work and then home with no more charging needed.

@olddiesel @KateFantom @MusingsEv @evmanuk @tillathenun I was wondering how you guessed the age of my son (23) but I realise my original post wasn’t so clear, the 22 or 23 refers to the year of manufacture of the car. It was a bit more explicit when I first wrote but had to edit down for word count.

@olddiesel @KateFantom @MusingsEv @evmanuk @tillathenun This is the most surprising thing for me, it is literally half the price of a M3 insurance. Maybe PS2 drivers are just more sedate so the perceived risk for the insurers is less than for M3?
