First silicon just arrived. These dies are from the first wafer of my GF180MCU based Linux SoC KianV, built with a fully open source ASIC flow. This chip was part of the wafer.space GF180MCU run and hardware validation comes next. Big thanks to Leo Moser for help with the ASIC flow and to @mithro and @evezor for their guidance along the way. The picture shows the first dies. More bring up updates soon.

Data... from SPACE! Received our very first chunks of results from my spasics module we sent up to LEO with a @tinytapeout ASIC aboard the HUNITY pocketqube. This is temp sensor data from the RP2040 used to command and control the experiments. All data sent/rcvd at github.com/psychogenic/sp…

The tapeout deadline is over, and this evening I started working on the PCB design. I’d always wanted to build an FPGA board with SDRAM, but now I have the time to design a PCB for my own RISC-V Linux SoC ASIC with SDRAM and everything. thanx wafer.space @mithro
